LDS often boast that they serve unpaid while ministers in other churches are "hirelings," who minister just for all the money they get by passing an offering plate. If ministers want to get rich, they are in the wrong profession, because ministry is often one of the lowest paid professions. A lot of ministers also work many more hours each week than those in secular jobs! But, it is not unspiritual for ministers to receive wages as LDS often claim.

"Tithing" was an Old Testament principle (Malachi 3:8-10) which has merit in the New Testament dispensation (Matthew 23:23). However, tithing was not instituted as a saving principle as LDS believe. Brigham Young said, "The law of tithing is an eternal law... that God has instituted for the benefit of the human family, or their salvation and exaltation (Deseret News, "Church News," July 20, 1968, p. 14).

D. & C. 64:23 also says, "He that is tithed shall not be burned at His coming." Thus the LDS Church is among the churches that the B. of M. warns about when it says, "Yea, it shall come in a day when there shall be churches built up that say: Come unto me, and for your money you shall be forgiven of your sins" (Mormon 8:32).

However, I know MANY in your Church that say that and will not do ANY ordinance that has to do with forgiveness of sins WITHOUT paying a FEE!

..you sit behind a cloud of dust from the feet of men who undermine you still. the lds apostles and prophets are all wealthy men. most of them have professional backgrounds like in business and law. these men sit on many boards of numerous lds company's. not to mention the thousands of mlm businesses that the church funds. these men wear the finest suits, fly in private jet plains, and live a life not of a prophet or apostle. each of them are making big time money.

Jesus Christ had very very fine apparel. His too was donated. The Romans cast lots for it when they crucified Him because it was so nice.

when President Kimball was Prophet in 1980 his children found his tax returns and published them. He made $500 that year. He lived like a low income person.

....Tax that was reported? Your tax return is no definition of your wealth if it is not reported or recorded as Governmental income. Whereas the churches assets and earnings are hidden not reported for bare eyes to see, that $500 is irrelevant.

...I have done my own taxes for about 5 years now and in no way I am a expert. But to think that Kinball had a tax return of 500 smack-A-roonies is 1980 is suspect especially when he was the president of the empire.

You mean read and speak from the word of GOD...THE BIBLE. As for claiming title of Prophet your church leaders have no inclination of the word of the God because they teach that the BofM is the most perfect book. If so, they should teach that the bofm was translated by seer stones in a hat(not like how the church portrays in art and in missionary work.
