Kevin Maddocks is a LEGEND fact, an awesome angler way ahead of his time
he took lakes apart catching more fish in one session than most top anglers of the day caught in the season, his book carp fever was the bible for carp anglers in the 80s but the people that slag him off prob never heard of carp fever or even know what Maddocks did for carp fishing
also in carp from the start he drags fish along the bottom dumps them in the shallows his rigs are just hook to link with a bit of line tied to the hook, the dvd was shot in 2003 you would think it was 1973 I hate this moron he is a danger to fish
Kevin maddocks is a cowboy and a dinosaur, just watched 'carp from the start' should be called CRAP from the start, he doesnt always use a mat, he lands a carp and leaves it a good 15 minutes half out the water in a WEIGH SLING! while he lands another, then deals with the 2nd fish first! he catches his 2nd rod at one point while he is landing and pulls it off the pod and up the bank with his other rod and net. if i saw him at my lake id throw him off or throw him in. absolute moron.
nice vid but more control could of taken place when the carp flipped. eg. roll back on for forearms..
and when you put it back, get your feet wet! its a 30lber at least make the effort to put it back properly, not just in the shallows so it had to swim on its side for a bit...
@Royskeen007: Why? The carp is on a safety mat, is kept wet and is released. I think this is a vid in which the carp is treated right by the angler. Maddocks seems to feel when the fish is going to move, and he reacts very quickly. The only thing I don't like is the release. He should 've released it in deeper water!
