Nightwish has lost that quality and uniqueness without Tarja. The fact is - this is what Nightwish sounded like, the fact she's taken the sound of the group with her proves she was its essence. Guitarists and drummers come and go but a voice like this cannot be replaced without consequences. On another note - who IS the fit blonde guy in this? I assume its Jason Hook?

@BFMVMHMK001 No, sorry with the exception of some of the worlds most noticeable and brilliant guitarists, bassists and drummers - in a band such as Nightwish the vocals ARE the most important part. Its what gave it its unique beauty. Like I quite clearly stated - the nightwish sound has gone with Tarja and what is left of the band has chosen to add a front woman that changes everything. Like I said - Ive nothing against Annette apart from her awkwardness infront of a camera.

Imaginaerum is a brilliant album, and the instrumentals in it are almost identical to the quality in their albums with Tarja, and the guitars, drums and bass give it their own unique sound. If you put a different guitarist, for example, in Nightwish, their sound would change and be unique in a different way. If you preferred Nightwish with Tarja, thats fine, but you can't say that they have lost their "nightwish sound".
