Plus Chan knows how to use guys like Trent, Roscoe Parrish, ect and make them into tomorrow's stars. Not saying that they are now, but don't be surprise, like someone great said "That's why they Play the game"
Love the Easley Pick!! Spiller is going to make plays, they definitely drafted him for Trent, they're building around him...that's what it is. Deal with it!!! I like this guy...Go Bills 2010....Holla @ me on the message boards "Scorpio83"
I personally didn't want a QB, Trent is the Truth, and now with a better coaching staff, that will know how to utilize Trent, he will to great this season. I like what this guy said also, "they drafted Spiller for Trent" which they are. They're building around, Trent, so get use to it, guy is in his contract year, so why not give him another shot, cause don't forget, 2yrs ago he took this team and started 5-0 with them before the O-line broke down against the Cards.
@bigben2493 It's an interesting thought. Just never really considered it to be honest. Might be something I take up in the future. Thanks for the suggestion!
Were playing Trent because most of this organization realize was a doomed from the start season. With all those changes they made. Trent had Dick Jauron offense. Now hes got Chan Gailey offense which has been success pretty much EVERYWHERE hes been. Spiller was a need so we drafted him. A playmaker that will get touches in the backfield and may jump in their as WR a few times.
We have alot of good young recievers and they will step up and get better. This is what they have been waiting for.
Good video. You obviously offer a different perspective than the one that I gave. I was just really disappointed that we didn't take a OT first round when we HAD the choices right there in front of us. If there weren't any good tackles at 9, Spiller is fine. But if we can take the need position, take it. My biggest fear was that then were going to take a QB first, I never thought that they wouldn't address ANY need in the first round.
@jcamman99 That depends on your definition of need. The offense was in NEED of a playmaker. CJ Spiller fills that void. Obviously, tackle is a liability. They ended up taking two in the later rounds, so we'll see how they contribute. Bell is slated to play LT again and Cornell Green was brought in to play RT. I'm not too sold on either at this point, so I was wondering why they hadn't addressed it early.
I know that it is possible that Spiller will be a playmaker, and trust me, I will NOT be one to complain if he's the next Doug Flutie. What worries me is that last year we said all of this about TO and nothing happened. The line needs to block for him and all we got in the draft is depth. Calloway is going to be a guard from what I hear. So the line will be Bell, Levitre, Hangardner, Wood, and Green. That's NOT a good line
@jcamman99 I agree it's certainly below average. But playmakers are different when it comes to wide receivers and running backs. A wide receiver needs a good line AND a good quarterback, and we were inefficient at both positions last season. A running back needs a good line, and I'd say we've upgraded from terrible to below average, but that's not to say it couldn't improve as the season goes on.
@jcamman99 Part of the reason T.O. didn't open up the offense last year is because our offense wasn't very complex to begin with. The weak o-line played a factor, but overall the play-calling wasn't consistent and Jauron couldn't find ways to utilize guys in other ways. Spiller is perfect for a coach like Gailey, who knows how spread the offense out and get the most production out of his play-makers
@jcamman99 Also, you're looking at a situation with Marshawn Lynch, who probably won't be a Buffalo Bill beyond this season if he even makes it through this season. So taking Spiller basically fills a huge void that the team would have had to address next year anyway. Because Fred Jackson, who is 29 mind you, does need a complimentary back to take the load off. Jackson proved he could run behind a bad line, so it's not like Spiller is automatically going to be a failure right off the bat.
lmao, funny video man, and had a BIG gut feeling C.J Spiller was coming to buffalo I wanted lefevour tho. =\ lol Oh well I won't be disappointed with Trent starting he had a decent game with the pats, buccs, jets,(before his concussion) and titans hopefully the O-line would upgrade.
love the spiller pick, not sure about the troup pick, i wanted an offensive line, or clausen, but im not an nfl scout so, we'll wait and see what happens i hope it works out, and i would like to see Johnson as our 2nd
CJ Spiller- best player we took in this draft despite only little production.
Troup - total bust so far. Placed on IR earlier this year.
Carrington - Appeared in 21 career games...2 career sacks. Yikes.
Easley - two trips to the IR and the Bills have again wasted a pick.
Ed Wang - ummm...worst pick ever?
Arthur Moats - had one memorable play his rookie year...has just half a sack this year.
Danny Batten - 23 tackles and half a sack in 2011...at least he made the team lol.
Calloway - um nvm.

Ed Wang stinks. Slow feet for a LT. He's a RT at best.
