@grownman455 Not true, as much I'm sure Professor told you that, it's not true. There was a lot of land that was taken from the Native Americans, and a lot that was (e.g. Louisiana Purchase.) The entire Mexican-American War started after the Republic of Texas wanted to be its own independent nation, so it broke away from Mexico. Mexico didn't become a country until the 1820s. That land was taken by Spanish conquers. Parts of CA were settled by Russians, even before Mexico was a country.

@jimhunt81 To your other point Native Americans are apart of Mexican's history. The Mexican man today is usually a mix of Spanish and Native Americans. So they did have their land stolen by European settlers.. Louisiana purchase was another example of invaders taking these peoples land and selling what didn't belong to them in the first place. I mean all of it is history now but I just wish we would show these people and Native Americans more respect than we do.

@grownman455 I know, that was exactly my point, the land was taken from Mexico, it was bought from Mexico. It was entered into in a peace treaty. A peace treaty is something you agree to after you lose a war. The Louisiana Territory was taken by the Native Americans, therefore, the Gadsen Purchase & Treaty of Guadalupe Hildago was a mutual agreement. If the U.S. wanted to take it, they would just have taken.

All Natives, Europeans, and Middle Easterners have gone through some messed up stuff, but would you have it any other way? Because if that hadn't happened, you probably would have never been born. If your ancestors were never taken from Africa, odds are, if you were born, you'd be living in Africa. I've been to Africa, it's not a place you want to live.
