  • @kingblackhart

I love the gimp version too and I'm wondering what I meant by that.

  • Guys! Calmitdownforgodsakewe'regoingnowherefastwiththesearguments.

Just wanted to give my *opinion* that I love both versions (Gimp excluded), but prefer the Catch 22 recordings, except in areas where the mixing and recording is so bad it's intolerable. I heard the C22 version first, so for a lot of the Streetlight versions where they changed the pitch of the horns and stuff it's always going to sound a little bit "off" to me, albiet still awesome.

  • @Kavurcen this song was beautiful when he first recorded it with Gimp

  • "Catch22?" Skafail

  • Ok I've got very mixed opinions on the whole Catch 22 VS Streetlight Manifesto argument. I like them both, this song specifically I like the Catch 22 version more, but other songs, like Keasbey Nights and Dear Sergio, I like the Streetlight Manifesto versions more.

  • Let's just just shut up about 2 bands and listen to what we came for. I HAVE SPOKEN.

  • how many of their songs are Catch 22 covers?

  • @LambOfJesus360 Just this album. Seeing as Kalnoky wrote all of them, I'd hardly consider them "covers". More just reiterations. Everything else they've done completely blows Catch 22's stuff out of the water.

  • @LambOfJesus360 none the same guy who wrote the songs for catch 22 formed this band so there are his songs. so its note really a cover. its more like a remastering.

  • @LambOfJesus360 They covered an entire Catch 22 album, but that's it as far as I know. They covered two Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution songs I think, though. All three of these bands had the same singer/songwriter, a genius only rivaled by Mike Patton and Maynard James Keenan, Tomas Kalnoky.

  • @LambOfJesus360 This explanation has been posted many many times throughout tons of streetlight videos , and since you can't just go to wikipedia. . . They covered the album Kaesbey knights, so all of the songs on the kaesbey knights. I don't like to think of them as covers, though, because Tomas Kalnoky wrote all of the songs and sang and did them in Catch 22. I like to think of it as a guy just rerecording songs with some different people.

  • @KidPlayingPiano I wrote this comment 2 months ago, suck a dick, I get it now.

  • @KidPlayingPiano *Keasbey Nights

  • @prestonADHD You're a petty prick. Did the confusion of the A and the E make what he said incomprehensible for you?

  • @noxymoron19 Dont fuck with my friend preston ook u are just probably a troll on utube i mean he probably has a problem of needing to fix things

  • I don't like the title Everything goes numb, it should have been called "Keasbey Nights part 2: We're Grownups Now"

  • lol Catch 22 sucks, but the original from Gimp is wayyyyyyy better

  • I'm Tom Kalnoky, I'm super, I'm nothing, I'm in Streelight Manifesto selling out is what I do cuz I'm popular now.

  • @jebril I'm a Streetlight fan. Yes, you're super. No, your not nothing. Yes, your in Streetlight Manifesto. No, your not selling out. Yes, you are popular. You got half your shit wrong.

  • @jebril How exactly has Streetlight sold out in any way, shape or form?

  • @SMfan199 They've been sucking ever since Everything Went Numb.

  • @jebril thats because theyve only done one album release since. and that album was a cover album, save for their one original "the provide the paint for the picture perfect masterpiece", which is a cover of Kalnoky's song from his other band, which, in my opinion, was the best song on the album. its not that theyve been sucking, its just that their original work is much better

  • @jebril Streetlight's popular? I had no idea

  • Man this song came a long way. It was originally from Kalnoky's first band, Gimp.

  • oh my god who the hell cares...im sick of clicking on every streetlight song and seeing all of the comments talking about catch 22, everyone stfu and listen the song please

  • Tom didnt get kicked out he left to go to college or art school

  • 2 people are nothing not supernothing just NOTHING

  • 2 people are from Catch 22.

  • 2 people need to die

  • Gimp.

  • Gimp.

  • whatever thomas kalnoky does sounds good in my opinion, if you disagree fucka you :P

  • 1 person has no life

  • @SamJoeBillyBob 1 person has an opinion.

  • @Allcommentsappreciat Explain then

  • @SamJoeBillyBob 1 person dosn't like this band.

  • @Allcommentsappreciat 1 person sucks

  • One person sucks[:

  • supernothings represent

  • catch or street light i don't care the album keasby night is good period

  • This could work for my Road Trip playlist.

  • I've been seeing comments about Catch-22 in other SM videos. Is that like there rival band?

  • @felx34 Its been said a million times.

The lead singer of Streetlight Manifesto is the EX-Singer in Catch-22, he wrote all songs on Keasby Nights, and recorded it with BOTH bands, people argue over which is better.

  • Orrrrrr...We could just not worry and listen to the song ^_^

  • epic win!!

  • the new catch 22 sucks so bad now.

  • @Ravioli74020 tomas makes the band

  • Wrap your mind around this....Supernothing was written by Tomas Kalnoky and performed by his first band Gimp. Then he "covered" it for his next band Catch-22. Then "covered" it again for his next band Streetlight Manifesto. Cover of a cover of a cover....3 bands, 1 songwriter.

  • Doesn't matter what band, what recording, what time, what place. Anything Kalnoky is good. End of story.

  • Sweeeet. :3

  • no dislikes :D

  • Chris Hansen sent me here.

  • my math teacher is in streetlight manifesto

  • For music with balls and badass brass, see the above band. :]

  • Violins make it better? Uh, no.

  • i firste heard these songs (Keasby Nights album) by Catch 22. then my friend played me the same songs by Streetlight. he then told me how Tomas Kalnoky was in Catch 22 but then started Streelight Manifesto. i love them both. :)

  • the drums ruleee kinda dnb-ish

  • Violin makes it better. But horns make it good too.

  • SO HARD TO PICK A FAV some times i dig one of there song for a long time then i like another one these happens ON&ON&ON LOL

  • I liked Gimp's version better

  • Same, so much more feeling with the violin.

  • No One Cares.

  • NO ONE.

  • @BrainDeadScreamer about?

  • This version is quite good, but the intensity of Tomas with the violin back in the Gimp days wins it for me.

  • are you kidding? the gimp version is great, but catch 22's remake was 100 times better. this is basically that version with better audio quality

  • The lyrics aren't the same in the Gimp and Catch/Streetlight ska version.

  • This song totally talks about my current situation in life.

  • Your's too?

    Maybe we should be bestfriends

  • lol maybe, I dnt like where Im at. but i am lookin 4ward to where Im going.

  • Well, I don't know where I'm going sooo haha

  • Dnt be like tht. lol Just gtta have an open mind to things.

  • Also described as "QQ"

  • QQ?

  • streetlight and catch both lose in this situation gimp did those song best botar should totally cover it for 99 songs including gimps original ending

  • FUCK CENSORING

  • when ever i want to listen to the keasby nights album i pop in catch's

he's voice sounds weird in this recording.

cuz when they play live it sounds more like catches version.

  • naw they're both alright and its true they're pretty much the same thing

  • is there a catch 22/streetlight vid out there were people don't argue about which one is better when they are pretty much the same

  • davvero unici. grandi streetlight manifesto!!!

  • i like streetlights better mainly because they had more experience and a better recording studio and shit so they sound alot better

  • I like the Gimp version better, to be honest. =D

  • i love streetlights version sounds so much better in my opinion :D

  • Catch 22 used to have Tomas Kalnoky, who wrote all of the songs on Keasbey Nights, but then he took off and in a few years started the band Streetlight Manifesto. Then Streetlight Manifesto re-did Keasbey Nights so it would sound better. "Allegedly." The original Keasbey Nights had bad quality in some people's opinions.

    Lol, I don't think they're posers.:P

  • thanks and i love streetlight in my opinion they both own ( streetlights better) in my opinion

  • Yeah that's your opinion, just like mine is that catch's poorer quality had a less commercialized feel to it, thus making it better.

  • i said in my opinion like 15 times lmao

  • lol, i no. catch 22 is okay, but streetlight... well theres no competition, streetlight wins hands down, lol

  • Haha yes i agree hands down, ohh and mylifeisaboutmusic is my other account =\

  • @Robocrat my math teacher is in streetlight manifesto

  • @Robocrat In the interview at the end of 1234 1234 I think he said that the label they where going to publish Streetlight's first original CD with wanted to re-release the CD untouched, so he redid them to increase the sound and so that people wouldn't be paying for something the already own.

  • @Robocrat

bad quility = awesomness and proving the authenticity of the album ^_^

  • @Robocrat

Catch 22 and Victory Records were also trying to re-release "Keasby" with "Flashy new packaging" and nothing more.

Tom thought it'd be better just to redo the album, especially because he thought the sound quality was "pure garbage".

  • @Robocrat ACTUALLY they kicked him out. Streetlight Manifesto and current Catch 22 hate each other. But Catch still sang all of Tom's music after they kicked him out. Hence the line in A Moment Of Silence "If you hate me so much then stop singing my songs"

  • @Robocrat catch 22 is way better in my opinion

  • @Robocrat he didnt just jam out, he left to go to school, and the rest of the members from catch 22 got butt hurt and felt back stabbed...

  • is catch 22 the same band?

  • No, but they did the same album, Keasbey Nights.

  • @kampfspaniel streetlight had 3 former members from catch 22 when they started off. there was a point when catch22 and streetlight were rivals. streetlight had to release keasbey knights before catch 22 rerealeased the better sounding quality of keasbey. It was alnost liked streetlight was almost forced to remake it, its kinda hard to explain but easy to understand :)

  • @kampfspaniel the singer of streetlight was the singer of catch 22 for this album.catch 22 had a couple of other members of streetlight i think.then catch 22 got a new frontman when tomas kalnoky started streetlight

  • @kampfspaniel Tomas was in both bands

  • @kampfspaniel Tom got kicked out of catch 22. Then he made Streetlight with a bunch of other great musicians.

  • @thunderectum i knew tom was from Catch but y did he get kicked out? i always thought he left

  • @MazterSpaz Yea I wasnt sure before but yea. That's why he said "if you hate me so much then stop singing my songs" in A Moment of Silence, because after they still used all of his stuff.

  • @kampfspaniel

Streetlight is like Catch 22 version 2.0...and much better.

  • why would they make a cd of downgraded songs. this versions got no soul. weak, very weak, i guess its just to officially give them the right to play these songs in concert. pos

  • sooooo true

  • i used to listen to this on ma mp3 all th time like 3 years ago ... love itttttttttt

  • great song!!! :D

  • great!!

  • *******************************out of 5

  • no comments? why?!?!? nobody listens to this amazing song? 5/5 *****

  • Thank you, kind sir.
