This is the reason why i never never chose Nairobi Uni ... These comrades riot too much ... Chapa'in cops once in a while is ok just like we used to do in JKUAT, but malizeni chuo in time bana ...
A four year course might just end up being a seven year course ... Plus hakuna joboz and so it seems like most students want to stay in College longer ...
all in all it was a peaceful demo no lives were endangered apart from a few casaulties and that is normal when thousands take on the streets at last the police has showed that it can contain a mob without teargas n live bullets
No really..havent been keeping up with the news coz in a different country and i thought you were actually being literal. I knew it would only be a matter of time till Ruto left that cow.
This are the scenes we should witness more often. its only through mass action that our dissatisfaction with the present administration can be voiced.
the problem with university demonstrations is that they are never fueled by the students, but are used as fronts for political gain! these students may have started out peaceful, but as of now, what are they doing? stoning cars, buildings, looting.. who are they hurting??
I agree with you. The problem with university demonstrations is that they are never fueled by the students, but are used as fronts for political gain! I believe in this case they are fighting for Raila after he gave a green light to demonstrate. In this clip they are calling for kibaki to resign. Will Raila ever be president? not of kenya of today. However, he does need to resign as a president. He is a disgrace to the kenyan community.

So what next? Go back to class and the demo is history - forgotten while impunity prevails. That's Kenyan style of things.
