  • Another great Retro Core! Got interest in trying out F1 Live Information and Makeruna Madkendou.

  • Not to get too off-topic, but I've heard that the Power Rangers were around in Japan for quite a long time before they came over here to the U.S.

  • Try Choujin Sentai Jetman, it's on the Famicom and it precedes Power Rangers in terms of timeline show.

There's also the Power Rangers version on the Famicom, but it's horrible.

  • YAAAAAAYYYY!!! POWER RANGERS!!! When I was a kid I used to be a hardcore fan!!

  • @SushiSunshine2000

I never really watched Power Rangers as a kid. I think I was too old by then. I'm 36 now.

  • @Yakumo1975 I was too. I was a hardcore Transformers fan as a kid, so I probably wouldn't have watched it anyway. Great episode! Geograph Seal looks like a great Battlezone-type game!

  • Never expected to see the Sega CD Power Rangers on Retro Core. Or Fun 'n Games. Still, they're both pretty shit. The only good PR games that I can remember are The Movie on the Genesis and both Game Gear titles.

And I once watched an ep of both Power Rangers Samurai and Kamen Rider Dragon Knight (the western version of one of the newer Kamen Rider series) out of boredom. Cheesy stuff right there.

Geograph Seal looks mighty fine, though.

If it wasn't for my son being in to the Super Sentai shows (Power Rangers) and Kamen Rider I would have never even looked at this title. As it is though, I've now played pretty much all the 16bit power Ranger games and found most to be awful or dull.

I had to go to see a live Kamen Rider Forze show today at the shopping center with my son and take a video so he could watch it again and again and again, as kids do. I'll probably upload it to YouTube tomorrow.

  • @Yakumo1975 Pretty much the same thing happens to me with my little brother, only that instead of Super Sentai it's with stuff like Ben 10.

Speaking of Kamen Rider, the Sega CD game was actually released in the US (by Sega and around the same time as the Power Rangers game too), and it was before the americanized version.

  • A great blast from the PAST congratulations .

  • @OtaconX

    Glad you liked the show.

  • Geograph Seal deserves more attention today. The origins of Jumping Flash + being what Star Fox 2's ground level sequences never succeed at + a fantastic soundtrack that needs an album release = one point for team X68000.

  • @DragoonEnRegalia

I agree, Geograph Seal is a fantastic game and I would like to cover it more however I don't own a X68000 any more. All this series X68000 videos were recorded in one day at a friends place. maybe I can run it via emulation in the future for a more in-depth look.

  • @Yakumo1975 : ( what happened to it
