@Luis941A Out of all the martial arts they visited Savate was the only one I thought was lame. Savate is basically just kickboxing in a costume ... nothing too special about it.

@mesmorok101 It's possibly an exhibition match so they are probably going less that 100% at each other. It's probably more like an intense sparring session.

Whats the deal with this karate match only punching to the chest? If these guys get into a real fight and aren't trained in protecting their heads there going to KO'd. Silly way to fight.

@liljeffy28 in kyokushin they cant punch to face, but they CAN kick to the head. kyokushin matches are actually pretty brutal. watch the fight quest kyokushin episode, and i think it may change ur mind a tad.

@liljeffy28 They are definitely trained to protect their heads, but it would be stupid to allow bareknuckle punches to the face during matches. There would be injuries and/or death in almost every match. No face punches may not be realistic in the match, but then again wearing padded gloves is not realistic in a real fight either and UFC, MMA, and boxing all do that anyway. It's about protecting the fighters from being injured while training.

The karate match around 5:00 is stupid. I dont mean that in a bad way, I just believe anything that doesnt allow punching to the face That type of karate match turns into a low kick hop around body punch dance.
