the thing about nintendo is that they don't view video games as other consoles do. Other consoles focus so much on the game itself. They strive to make the games suited to the liking of the players. Nintendo on the other hand (with the wiiu) focus more on brining you into the game, creating that "virtual reality" and getting more than one player involved at all times. in a couple of years i can see nintendo as releasing the 1st full virtual reality console :)

The controller is separate from the console. The console sends the video and everything TO the controller, and you PLAY with the controller. It's got the analog sticks and R/L buttons and ABXY buttons and everything PS3 and Xbox has. So there's no excuse why you can't play hardcore shooters on Nintendo.

Have you read any of the reviews and articles about it? It LOOKS awkward, but it's a LOT more comfortable than it looks.

Remember the old Xbox controllers? Those were HUGE. These look like they don't have that large of hand holds so they're easier to grip. I doubt a shooter is going to make use of the touch screen in combat.

There's no excuse why you can't play a shooter on this console. You have everything an Xbox or PS3 controller has, the ONLY difference is that your hands are spread out 6 inches instead of 3. That shouldn't hinder your ability to play, you never use the center buttons in a shooter, they're always start select back whatever
