Hey,I've recognized you in Kutiman's I'm new,I'd seen your vid before & I gotta tell you you're one the very funkiest dudes I've seen on YouTube(& i've seen quite a few, trust me ;) Keep on...Peace.
You have the speed of a jump cut-- I KNOW IT'S NOT A JUMP CUT, I'm just saying; the arms go from point a to point b in a split second, its journey can't be seen! Remarkable.
Oooo, remember those double hi-hat something something Pete!!!! They remind me of your tripple hi-hat something something bro : ) Miss you so much, you're awesome bro, skviiiiiii
very nice man, perfect, almost metronome like timing haha and quite creative. i'm a big fan of funk style drumming and you've got a nice solid rock influence fused in there as well. love the vids.
It was good, but for funk drumming you should be playing softer. Old school funk isn't forced out of you, it should come out effortlessly, and this felt a bit hammered out. This felt more Chad Smith than Jabo Starks.
I think so too, my gripe with kz1000ps's comment was that there's no right or wrong way of playing music. I mean it's up to you how it's played isn't it? And this up there is j.j Fluecka's style and I think it's just great.
i agree with kz. although Fluecka did a solid job, some of the best drumming doesnt stand out and scream for attention. it just gives the groove. check out any of james brown's drummers or Joseph "Zigaboo" Modeliste of the Meters
wow that was really good, but whats with that (china stack?) so high, it would most likely be more comfortable if it was either angled more, or lower, but what ever works for u, nice solo
alright man, this is the stuff right there, the kind of stuff that gets your foot tapping, I think it requires more skill to play this stuff than hard rock
Great drums!!

thanx for your comments. appreciate it.
the tall cymbal is a broken / bent paiste traditionals 16" china. my fav company. i like the dirty, trashy sounds of a bent cymbal for some purposes.
the crashes are probably either paiste thin traditionals or paiste dimensions (which i think no longer exist).
much love out to the drum (loving) community...
