If you put a metal bar in between, the metal bar would have induced magnet. One side becomes south pole to stick to one of the north pole, and the other side becomes north, which repels the north pole of the other magnet.

Thus, the analogy is wrong.

Thus falsifying the myth that the author has mugged physics too hard. He didn't.
