It looks the same as the President Walker? and the Cobra looks just like the Superstar 3900...

that guage on the left is that like a built in SWR meter, is it also for tuning an antena?

I'm just trying to pick things up before getting my 1st unit at some point... wont be as flash as those tho, not for starters anyway.. :-)

The question is how well made. Ive had the 3900 and the Midland 7001 and build quality was awful compared to the old 148/360!

I am happy with the build quality. In fact I've not had a single problem with my Jacko II although many people seem to be reporting output related faults. This one has worked flawlessly - maybe I'm just lucky or I dont use it enough ?

I use a Sirio 827 as the base antenna with the Jackson II.
