They don't speak English very well at my local Asian supermarkets, so I usually write down what I'm looking for in Chinese/Korean/Japanese (depending on the store). In this case, it's the rice flour. What are the Chinese characters for the product?
I know a way to make this but much easier. As I said with all dim sum, you can slave 2 3 hours or just buy at restaurant for $2 all made and taste better. Not worth it unless its your hobby.
LOL, sorry I didn't see this sooner. And no, it came out mush, TWICE! =( It put me off on trying it again for a while, but I do have a taste for it, again. I'm going to try a new store here called Kilauea Market. They have all sorts of Asian goodies. Unfortunately I do not read any Japanese so it takes me a while to find stuff in there. Took me a half hour to find yeast tape for proper sake but it tasted damn good so it was worth it! ヘ(^_^ヘ)(ノ^_^)ノ
Thanks alot for this video. A local chinese resturant I love serves Yum-Cha and I always order several plates of their fried radish cake. I'm definatly going to have to make this sometime to compare
@CaptCow Thanks for your watching. Hope you succeed in making white radish cake. Msg is usually added in those white raddish cakes made in restaurants for taste enhancing taste.
you can use a microwave to cook anything if you know how to use the microwave... i know my mother made us angel food cake when i was younger with the microwave.. see if you can google "microwave white radish cake" or what type of temp. the cake needs or your microwave needs to be to cook it fully and safely =)

@PoisonousOne I'm curious on the verdict of replacing wheat starch with cornstarch... did it come out the same?
