  • we dont need to fucking practice rhandy!

  • Doyle Hargrave

  • anyone else think of sling blade? lol

  • Once upon a time, a T-800 walked into a bar...

  • For mymusic777ify,and brianallancobb, Come to Minnesota and listen to all the Country Music you want!

  • Love this song

  • Do ya reckon his pants are tight enough?

  • "I need your clothes, your boots and your motorcycle"

  • @ruger3939 Terminator

  • I met a band from Alberta called Hot Cargo (Played at the Esquimalt Inn back when) & The lead sounded exactly like Dwight Yoakam! (the drummer was HOT! & mine for a time).....

  • what kinda retard are ya anyways?

  • I went through a Dwight Yoakum phase (and George Strait, Ricky Skaggs, and Randy Travis) in the late 80s - early 90s. Glad to know people are still listening to him.

  • @brianallancobb i didn't know he existed 'till about a year ago.i saw a video of him on tv and now i'm hooked and i've never even been into country before.have you seen him live?

  • @mymusic777ify

No never (have I seen him live).

I do remember being truly disturbed at my wife looking at a picture of him in cowboy hat, boots, and tight jeans, and saying, "Now THAT'S interesting." :-)

Seems to me he really has that hillybilly half-honk, half-yodel in his voice.

  • @brianallancobb well what can i say ...he's pleasing to the eye and good for the ear and sure got sex appeal! he's made a lot of husbands frustrated i'm sure! but there's always more to people than appearances,i do get the feeling he's a real nice man as well.i like the fact he dated brigit fonda, you can tell a lot about a man by his choice in women.

    i think he's great!

  • @mymusic777ify

Sharon Stone, who dated him, is famously quoted as saying, "A dirt sandwich is better than Dwight Yoakum." :-)

  • @brianallancobb i wouldn't take her statementts very seriously,she doesn't like anyone!

  • @mymusic777ify

Agree with all the things about Sharon Stone. Still I like the quote. It's one for the ages. Were I Dwight Yoakum, I'd be proud of the quote, that I could excite such emotion from a woman.

  • @brianallancobb i think it's silly hopefully he doesn't care.he didn't date her very long though.

i like him a lot! his leggs they just go on and on and on.......

  • @mymusic777ify

Dwight was gentleman enough not to respond, at least not for attribution.

  • @brianallancobb i just hate the fact that i'll probably never see him in concert,he actually was in my country Norway a few years ago and i missed it! what's the chance of him coming back here! none

  • @mymusic777ify

From what I hear about how nice your country is (may I please emigrate), I would not give up my Norwegian citizenship in order to listen to Dwight, as great as he is.

  • @brianallancobb it's sad though i missed out on the chance of a lifetime! i'd pay a few dollars and go a few miles to see him,yes i would and i know it woould be worth every penny!

  • @brianallancobb besides she's bisexual so she cannot possibly like a mans with a feminin side.imagining dwight and sharon must be a match made in hell.

  • @mymusic777ify

I admired Miss Stone's performance in "Casino", for which I thought she deserved the Oscar.

  • There goes that left foot!!!

  • I saw Dwight on the "Guitars, Cadillacs" tour in the Spectrum in Montreal...I was surrounded by mostly guys with long black hair, and only when Dwight said, "What Indian Reservation Is This, Anyway?" and they all cheered, did I realize i was standing amidst the youth of the Mohawk nation! Of course being 1/16 Cherokee and having equally long hair made me fit right in!

  • THE BEST COUNTRY MUSIC STAR EVER! I would say a step ahead of Johny Cash! This song is awesome!

  • A great musician...BR

  • KICK ASS!!

  • This is kick ass country done the "old" way!

  • Country music today... it's as lost as Dwight's pants were then.

  • Wszystkie piosenki Dwighta Yoakama , są OK, ale nie znoszę, nagrań koncertowych(estradowych), gdzie HAŁAS tłumu, zagłusza wykonawcę utworu !!!

  • Where have all to great country singers gone ?? Dwight is one off the lost greats.

  • back in 1990 or so (when I was some 15) I bought "Just looking for a Hit"... and the first song on this album was "guitars and cadillacs".... from the moment on when I put the disc in my CD-player, I was a Dwight addict....

  • This is New York Hillbilly Rock--You 're the "KILLER" Dwight!!! This is the best of country

  • This is New York Hillbilly Rock--You 're the "KILLER" Dwight!!!

  • I'm a musician. I grew up in Texas. I was a big snob in high school and college. Studied classical. Then I moved to New England for a job in the late 80s. Got so homesick I couldn't stand it. Started to listen to country (you'd be surprised how popular it is in NE), when Yoakum, Brooks, Lovette, Yearwood, and later on The Mavericks started. Oh and Hal Ketchum, plus others. They are in my heart and soul now. Love this music so much.

  • "you forgot to say please"

  • I thought this was todays country??It is great, goes well with my 64 Cad conv and an open road:)

  • coming from a country loving cadillac driving 17 year old nova scotian...fuck yea...dont tell me young people dont know good music!

  • @rjmachin Gosh, I would sure hope so. ;)

  • Hell yea!!~~ Lovin Dwight!!!!!!!!!~

  • I claim to hate country. But this country isn't hateable. Something about Dwight Yoakam makes me happy inside.

  • Even when i was at my "Country Music is for old people stage" worst... I LOVED this!! Now? LOVE it even more!! Cheers and great post Coco!! ~KK

  • You forgot to say please...

  • I like the Rockabilly flash that dwight reintroduced to country music in the late 80's. From "Guitars, Cadillacs, etc. etc.," to "Streets of Bakersfield," to "A Thousand Miles From Nowhere," to "Fast As You," Dwight is the Johnny Cash of the late 80's and early 90's. He's not a bad actor either, and I personally think Doyle Hargraves is his signature character.

  • Yeah, I'm a lil bit country...so what

  • TERMINATOR-2 I NEED YOUR CLOTHER. YOUR BOOTS AND YOUR MOTORCYCLE. HA-HA

  • @BULGARIN79 ..."You forgot to say please"!....

  • Ahhh..ol' Dwight Yokum....he has my liver.

  • makin me cream in my jeans

  • todays country doesnt hold a nickel to this

  • @TheLadyfawn thank you for that Ma'am. i agree. "Who's y gonna fill their shoes?" by George Jones comes to mind.

  • what a god !!!

  • One of my favorite songs from Dwight....

  • 2:08 - nice moves, but way too unfocused

  • This is the song that knocked Led Zeppelin from the #1 perch of my favourite band or performer. I never saw that one coming. Nowadays the console of my Charger is crammed full of as many Yoakam discs as I can fit there. I've had the pleasure, twice, of seeing him live. If you ever get the chance, you have to see this great performer.

  • now this is good country music. not like the generic new manufactured shit!

  • Indie, what r you smoking!!!This song hit #4 in the U.S and #2 in Canada in 1986..5 years before T2..the last time I checked Canada was definitely a country separate from the U.S.. Next time you make a claim be sure you can back it up!!

  • One of the greatest things to come out of Kentucky! --The Great American Dollhouse Museum

  • @TheDollhouseMuseum he is from Ohio

  • @1Rockbilly He was born in Kentucky and raised in Ohio, so I guess that makes us both right enough. I lived in Columbus for 8 years myself, and loved it there.

  • I covered this song here on you tube. just look up jeremy charlie

  • He's wearing pants, right?

  • looks like tight pants, tight flesh coloured pants....

least i hope they are, or maybe thats why all the girls are screaming :P

  • not really they are sprayed on lol

  • A great song to play while you walk into a bar naked to try to extort some guy's clothes and bike.

  • Dwight! You should visit Norway sometime!

  • wow...fantastic. I remember the first time I heard that song...I went out and bought Hillbilly Delux the next day !!!! Dwight is the grestest country music singer of today!!!! Another thing....wow...he STILL CAN DANCE with that guitar in his hand...very cool dwight !!!

  • @Diamondguyrt You're not the only one.... Something about the way that guys plays that Tele... So simple yet so beautiful. (forgive me for not knowing the name of the guy playing the Tele)

  • @Diamondguyrt And u admit that you like a country song. lol good for you. :D

  • @Diamondguyrt I've been saying that for years. Theres something about Dwights music that appeals to metalheads. I've been one of those guys screaming metal or nothing for 20 years now and I love Dwight Yoakam. Those of us who admit it are setting ourselves free. lol.
