  • Meh. They won't let me use dual P228s in Garry's Mod.

  • how did the first sig 228 shot more than 17 rounds? max capacity for 9mm is 13 rounds.

was this a stock or was it an aftermarket extended magazine ?

  • Technically, the first is a P228 and the second is a P228R, but hey, still the same gun.

  • easy to make that mistake.

But the second isn't railed. That's an old Classic SureFire mount designed to fit on non-railed Sig P228s.

Really? I was unaware that a product like that was even offered! Definitely nice to find out, is that product still produced? I'd love to know where to buy one.

  • Nah, it's discontinued long ago.

This was the original style of mount SureFire came up with long before anybody'd heard of rails on guns.

This one installs by replacing the disassembly lever.

It's a helluva lot bigger than an X200/X300 and hard as hell to find holsters for.

Stick with rails and a X300 if you want to mount a light, though.

My eyes must have tricked me, it looked like there was a hooked trigger guard on the second one.

  • They didn't actually take it off the market...they just offer it in a "limited production" version with an accessory rail, the P228R.

  • Bought my siggy many years ago and i love it.

  • I just got one! thanks for the video dude!

  • I was wondering, what is the recoil like with the plain vanilla P228? Just asking, I might get one sometime.

  • Wow...It's a really silent pistol. The first one looks cool!

  • it isnt silent at all, i got it too. it is the microphone or the video which make it more silent.

  • I have a 15 round Clip for a total of 16 with one in the chamber.

  • sig 228 mag capacity is 13 in hi-cap. how did you fire 19 rounds in each 228?

  • The second SIG has a (Sig Sauer factory) extended 20-round mag.

  • Since I just counted the 18 shots from the first vanilla SIG, I must have loaded a 17-round (plus 1 in the chamber) Ram-Line mag in that one.

(It's been almost 6 months since I made this film, so that's my best guess.)
