I like when they use actors real voices for when they sing. It feels honest with all it's imperfections. It says a lot about Katie's performance and commitment to Joey for her willingness to do this scene and be in such a vulnerable position. It's obviously awful but it feel right, especially in the context of the episode.

this was my favourite ever episode of dawsons creek, i fell in love with this song the first time i heard it. ok so in todays world of x factor and american idol the vocal sucks! but its the meaning behind the song that means something. use ur imagination people! pisses me off that people need to hear note perfect performences in order to be moved. listen to the story not the voice!!! : )

Ummm.....not bad. There were definitely pitch problems and she did talk more than sing through some of the lyrics however, she was pretty good. I think we all know what the point was here though. Joey wasn't supposed to sound "brilliant" - it's all about the words to the song and how it's exactly what she feels about Dawson.
