  • Lewis Black is probably one of the best comedians ever, he actually makes the political stuff he does funny even if you have NO IDEA what he's talking about, he's the best.

  • Did anyone else notice Larry's face at 5:50?

  • "I don't like hope. We're too old for hope." LOL!!

  • Lewis Black...the only comedian out there who doesn't need a script.

  • Good God Lewis Black is hilarious

  • fucking brilliant

  • This was Good

  • Lewis is really great!

  • Lewis knows his shit!!!!

  • people have to stop saying someone for president just because they are junny.

  • @atmark666 don't you funny

  • Oh my god, he is FLAMING UP!

  • LMFAO, I fucking love Lewis Black so much! He gets so worked up, you can tell he is really passionate.

  • bush dident keep us safe from anything he is the real criminal and should be in prison

  • he copies waaaaay too many things from George Carlin >:|

  • @manoljo I don't know about copying. I think maybe they just have the same mindset.

  • @manoljo Someone had to pick up the torch and carry on, I support the message, no matter who it's coming from.

  • @manoljo He was Carlin's protege', you can't think it's a bad thing really come on.

  • @splicedenergy who said he was Carlin's protege???

  • @manoljo Off the top of my head watch maher, black on carlin death on larry king live

  • @manoljo its on youtube just put it in the box

  • @splicedenergy Oh thank God.

  • @manoljo funny because he was inspired by Carlin hmmmmmmm. they use the same brand of comedy.

  • Lewis speaks the way i think....

  • The meeting of the voices!

  • He should have his own segment on every news show.

  • John Mccain... Let's WAIT until he loses his mind LMAO

  • Black kicks ass.

  • lets not forget 9/11 happened on Bush's watch but from Carter,Reagan,Clinton and Bush this grew into a catastrophe that occured.

  • A doe, a deer a female deer!

  • holy hell he is fukin awesome!! Black for 2010! (or Rush)

  • As long as someone is yelling... Heheh.

  • Lewis Black for president!!!!!

  • @BATSY4life YES YES

  • @BATSY4life president of the jews?

  • I'm so tired of this "Bush kept us safe" thing. You know 911 did happen on his watch. Can you honestly say you can name one instance in which George Bush single-handedly averted disaster?

  • @somewiseguy84 when he used a condom.

  • oh! oh! i got one! remember the time he saved America from Mothra! wait..that was Godzilla...and Japan...oops.

  • nobody can, but you cant blame him for everything that happens

  • @somewiseguy84 well maybe because under clinton administration there were terrorists (extremist muslims) training and becoming pilots in our schools in our territory, 911 wasn't just 11-9-2011, they had been planing that years ago, blame everybody who didn't realize this.

  • @somewiseguy84 its magic thinking. Obama supporters want to believe he's making the country better, bush supporters want to believe he made the country better. They both did jack shit.

We're still in iraq. We still have disasters. The president is just our special guest star that speaks for the country.

  • @videosfromderelix, remember when oboma first got elected, what was the first thing he did... he went on sportscenter and gave his predictions for the ncaa basketball tournament.... WTF? I cant stand oboma, although he's better than mccain, i didnt vote for none of these idiots we had running last year

  • @somewiseguy84 is obama doing anything better so stfu

  • @gibson2143 Obama has been in office 17 months. At this point in Bush's presidency we had had lost several thousand Americans on US soil to 2 terrorist attacks - 9.11 and Anthrax (neither mastermind, by the way, ever being apprehended). And we were about to lose thousands more in Iraq for no justifiable reason.

Is Obama doing better? You're Goddamn fucking right he is! Only a rightwing asshole would dismiss the facts!

  • @somewiseguy84 can u name a time any president has single handedly averted disaster? No you can't!! No president does anything single handedly

  • @somewiseguy84 yeah Obama is a joke he waits 50 days to finally say anything about this oil spill issue, he doesn't give a shit about you and me just re-election.

  • @Preach777 So typical of a moxnews spinster. Because if you weren't you'd know that they were involved from day fucking 1 asshole!

  • @splicedenergy BULLSHIT! another blind Democrat.

  • @Preach777 Who's a democrat?

  • @somewiseguy84 Well... he averted personal disaster in the 60's by not serving overseas during the Vietnam war :/

  • @somewiseguy84 Nope. Course Obama can't make that claim either...

  • @somewiseguy84 I can name one, scaring the shit our of Gaddafi and he closed his nuclear program.

  • @somewiseguy84 - yes and do your homework. many documented attempted terrorist attacks that were folied under Bush's terms. do yuor homework idiot. stop hugging trees and pay attention to what goes on around you.

  • @Phittka Let me preface this by saying I absolutely detest Obama. But I would prefer to have had more terrorist attacks then have the Patriot Act. Do you have any idea how unconstitutional it is? It reads like something Stalin or Hitler would have passed!! It infringes on SO MANY of our rights its disgusting. And the only unconstitutional thing that it would have made sense to put in their, namely racial profiling, they left OUT! (not saying we should profile, but it would be more effective)

  • @somewiseguy84 What pisses me off more is that the same people that LOVED Bush HATE Obama and the people that LOVE Obama hated Bush. What are the differences in their policies? Practically nothing! We are still in Iraq. Obama kept doing stimulus crap. wtf?? I think they were the two worst presidents in American history after FDR, Nixon and Jimmy Carter. All a freakin waste of our votes. FDR is the worst though. You know that the current recession is his fault right?

  • @Porojukaha Nixon was underrated. He doesn't get enough credit. The worst president ever was Warren G. Harding. You'd think a guy who was barely in office for 2 years wouldn't be that shitty, but you'd be wrong.

  • @CoolerKing37 Ah yes, the man who was elected only because he "looked like a president" Youre right, he was the heart and soul of ineptitude. We see what we get when we vote on appearances though.....

  • @Porojukaha .The current recession has nothing to do wiht him you absolute twat.Nixon wasnt that bad but yh carter was bad.Obama and bush are not the worst presidents, bush may rank lower than most but obama isnt much better even though e came into an absolute shit position. You dont have a clue.FDR is responsible for this crisis?rofl!! pathetic scum.

  • umm not at all...?

  • my hero!

  • He must have high blood pressure.

  • Get rid of the crawl/caption! They remove the caption, then put it back 10 seconds later. HAHA

  • My most favourite comedian of all time, definetly buying his book.

  • I've got the book! it's interesting! and like they say! he screams in his books :D

  • bought the book. never thought a book could piss me off and make me laugh to the point of crying at the same time. brilliant.

  • Since everyone is debating between socialism and capitalism, im going to give my view. I grew up in England my whole life and I moved to Florida about 3 years ago. Socialism in my opinion is better than Capitalism. Recently, at a apartment complex that i work at, a resident fell down a flight of stairs and broke her arm. When she went to the hospital, they wouldn't treat her because she made more than 25k a year and she didn't have health insurance. For her to be treated she had to pay $2000.

  • If anyone can justify that, you must help me understand. Capitalism = the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer whilst the middle class are neglected and barely survive. (Selfishness and greediness)

Socialism = Everyone works for a common goal which is for their country and everyone is taken care of.

  • capitalism=the hard working strive to get ahead in life while the lower class do nothing to better their circumstances and seek help from the government. YOU and only you control your living standars.

Socialism=no matter how hard you work or strive to get ahead in life, youre the same as the guy who didnt go to college and is satisfied living lower middle class.

this country was built on capitalism and its a shame that the new administration is trying to change that.

  • For a capitalistic country to work, there has to be those who work for the people with all the money. So, if this country was founded on capitalism, then those working people cant get up "the ladder" because there has to be workers for the rich. These people and their children are stuck because they cant afford to go to college or university because there parents were working for the rich, you might say, well if they work hard in school they could get a scholarship to go to college.

  • But, there always has to be workers in a capitalist country, so however much percent, many people who work hard don't get that scholarship and cant get an education. Whilst the rich can afford to go to college and uni, because of there parents. In a socialist country, or England, colleges and university's are mostly free, so people who work harder to get into better colleges can help their country by doing what they love to do (being a doctor, vet, dentist, w.e you enjoy doing.)

  • I agree, the United States was built on a foundation of capatalism, but we are only just figuring out that the foundation was incredibley feeble from the beginning. Socialism doesnt subject everyone to terrible living conditions, it just strips away the exquisite riches that a lucky few people have and spread them evenly among the people. Im not talking about taking away doctors salaries etc, but media moguls, wall street traders, oil tycoons, these people have riches most of us cannot even.....

  • ...fathom. I see no harm whatsoever in taking liquidating such assests as $10-30 million yachts, and spreading that wealth amongst the deathly poor, or at least in the United States pour that cash into a National Health Care fund, so people who lose a foot dont have to pay $15000 to have it treated. Does that not make sense in your eyes BBDL814?

  • capitalism=where 1% of the people own 90% of the worlds resources

but i dont really care one way or the other

ill be happy just watching humanity burn itself alive

  • @xAngel0Jackx I would distiguish between socialism and socialized medicine.Socialism would encompass everything and ruin it, while socialized medicine may be the only way to keep costs from going out of control.

  • Communism, socialism, no matter how you slice it theyre ultimately the same. Work hard youre whole life and live the same as the under achievers. Its pretty sad that this is what our country is coming to

  • You do realize that without those under achievers, the achievers would be the ones digging the ditches, ringing up your orders, removing your trash, and cleaning up your office. Those 'under achievers' perform vital functions for our society, and as such should at least be able to take care of their basic needs without working themselves into an early grave. Explain to me how much work or how brilliant a CEO could be to earn 8 figures a year, with retirement bonuses of 9 figures.

  • Thanks again mongoose, good posts.

    Nix

  • He really hates the crawl. muahaha

  • Oh, there can be incentive to work. You die if you don't. There. Now work.

  • An economy has to be a mix between both socialist and capitalist in order to work. Some things like commercial business only work in a capitalist economy. However, other things, such as medicene and education, only work when they are publicly funded and run on socialist principles

A purely socialist economy doesn't work. People simply dont give up the pursuit of personal worth

However, a purely capitalist society also doesn't work as it leads to huge gaps between people and usually revolution

  • Comment removed

  • What's so bad about socialist things?

We have free healthcare here and it is AWESOME.

Some things are better socialized. Like the post office.

  • Free healthcare kills free market, it's nowhere near the quality of healthcare in the US. Why do you think Canadians with a bank account come to America for healthcare?

The post office is not a branch of the government; it is regulated by the government, but it is not taxpayer funded. Their sole means of revenue is stamps, fees, etc.

  • I live in Canada. I don't know anyone that would trade what we have healthcare-wise for what the US has.

  • I lived in Canada for 4 years, they don't have healthcare, they have sickcare. The government can't compare to a system where companies compete for your business. Socialized healthcare kills research, and in the government's eyes, you're cheaper when you're dead. You may think you're getting free healthcare, but you're paying for it dearly by way of taxes. Although we disagree (you and xXMrDeathXx), I respect the maturity level you have, which is more than I can say for most who disagree with me

  • Im not going to pretend that I know more about the state of the US Health system than I do, I'll just say that I, and everyone here I've talked to about it, are much happier to have the system we do than to have to pay for each doctor visit. Granted, all my knowledge of the US system stems from possibly biased media outlets, I still like what we have here. Could it be better? Of course. It always can. I don't know, maybe it's just the province I live in. The idea of privatization is scary to me

  • I appreciate your honesty. In my opinion, from experiencing both types of healthcare, I'd take the privatized system anyday. I don't think the government should stand in the way of my doctor, and companies will always try to one-up each other when they're competing for your business.

I lived in Windsor, Ontario for 4 years for college and never really ventured far off of campus; did I just live in an area where the healthcare is bad?

  • That's possible. The only time I had any real complaints about a hospital visit was durning a nurses strike a few years ago. But for the most part now, it's pretty good. Just a few weeks ago my wife had a severe asthma attack. The hospital visit took less than and didn't cost a dime out-of-pocket, which, at the time of an emergency is priceless. I'm starting to believe that the "rights and wrongs" of the healthcare debate lies in the specifics, of geography and even personal preference.

  • I'm not saying either is "right" or "wrong," I just think our system works better, but that's my opinion, I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Glad to hear your wife received proper care, hope she's doing ok.

  • Correction: I meant "... less than an hour and didn't cost a dime...."

And you are very right - it is quite refreshing to see that there are still people on the Internet that can discuss (and that's the operative word: "discuss") these kinds of issues on a completely mature and reasonable level. Thanks.

  • Although we disagree, you've been a pleasure to converse with. I usually shy away from debating online because it does nothing but raise my blood pressure when it gets heated, but you've been very respectful and classy.

  • romney for 2012!

  • yeah good luck with that.

  • i love OBAMA

  • Wow!! I hate Obama but still, you are an ignorant fuck ass!!

  • I'm confused, am I an "ignorant f*ck ass" because Lewis Black had said that he's a socialist or because Obama has signed socialist legislation?

  • Wow dude... I think Obama and his administration are on the road to socialism but to say that they ARE SOCIALISTS seems like the typical republican thing to say.. I didn't mean to offend any republicans, cause I love you fuckers, but that's my opinion man/woman...

  • So saying that the Obama administration is on the road to socialism is perfectly fine, but calling them socialists makes me an "ignorant f*ck ass." You make no sense.

  • Yes!!

  • You are an ignorant b/c you corelate the word socialist with retrograde thinking. Socialism is not a derogaroty term and it never was. Up to this day, socialism is considered the best form of government on paper, not necessarily in reality. Having Obama approve socialist legislation is a great progress to the nation. It finally realized the people need rights and aid, not the fucking covetous fucks that have over 50x what an avg american makes in a lifetime

  • I never used the word socialist in a derogatory manner. Obama approves socialist legislation, and Black has admitted that he's a socialist. I'm not insulting anyone here. Socialism looks good on paper, but it has never worked and it won't work here. Rich people are the lifeline of the economy. They're the big spenders, and they're the ones the provide jobs. When's the last time you got a job from a poor person? If I worked hard to earn it, I'm gonna keep it. If you want socialism, go to Canada.

  • I can agree with you in a feel things, but you have to understand Black's point of view. It is not the rich that do anything for the people, it is the middle class. They are the ones that work hard. They are the ones that hire other people and provide jobs. The rich people invest in stocks and own companies. The best they ever did to create jobs was opening a new mall so they could get richer.

  • Anyway, most rich people do not work hard. They have already worked hard enough in their lifetime to earn their money which is why they do not feel other people should share their money. I would feel the same way, but the least they can do is be a samaritan. If you have billions of dollars and all you think about is how to earn more money, I dont believe you are the backbone of society.

  • Most rich people work harder than anyone else. Not all of them start new businesses in a samaritan way, but like it or not, it's the rich private sector that provides jobs, not the federal government. I give alot to charity on my own volition, not because the government tells me to; most people feel the same way.

  • The middle class work hard, yes, but they don't provide jobs. When's the last time you got a job from someone making $40k/yr.? "The rich people invest in stocks and own companies." The invest in stocks which keeps the demand up and raises stock prices which keeps the market flowing. They own companies which provide jobs, not the people working for them.

  • Sure. Rich people work hard. I'll buy that. Unfortunately that word doesn't apply to the people in this country that own hundreds upon millions of dollars. They're beyond rich. You don't get that much money from working hard pal. You get that much money because your daddy had lots a money. You get that much money because you use loop holes in our obscenely flawed government to your advantage. When you define "Hard Work" as providing jobs, then you've lost the concept of what hard word is bud.

  • I never defined hard work as providing jobs; with all due respect, if you're going to debate me, at least get my words right. Say I own a restaurant, and I work my butt off to make it successful, I am required to hire more staff; then say I can open a second restaurant, even more jobs. I think you would be hard pressed to find someone who works hard for the sole purpose of providing jobs. In that scenario, in a selfish way, I am working hard to better myself, yes, the jobs are an added bonus.

  • Hollywood actors, as much as I hate to give celebrities credit, work hard for their money; and they're entitled to keep every penny if they choose to. The hundreds of millions of dollars they earn keeps the economy afloat, because if they stop spending, what happens to the ship builder when they stop buying yachts, or to the waiters when they stop going to fancy restaurants, or to the contractors when they stop buying 2nd and 3rd homes? The socialst economy makes everything equal, but not better

  • "The socialist economy makes everything equal, but not better."

Wow. I REALLY shouldn't reply to your comment seeing as how you defeated yourself in this sentence. But I'm just in one of those moods today. So I'll bite.

How is a EQUAL economy NOT BETTER than any other?

    Better yet.

How is inequality in ANYTHING a positive, forward, progressive step for humanity?

I already know the answers to those. You may wanna flip to the back of the "Ethics and You" answer book to find out what they are.

  • How did I defeat myself? And how is what I said unethical? A socialist economy makes everything equal, as in stagnant, meaning it kills incentive. If own a business, but I can't make more than a certain amount, what's the incentive for me to produce more or make a better product? On the flip side, why would I work harder if I'm going to make the same amount as the guy who works his butt off? A socialist economy makes everything equal, average, but there's no incentive to be better than average.

  • Well you are a moronic republican. I will teach you how socialism works. If all of us get paid the same amount of money, the economy doesnt get stagnated, it gets stable. There wont be any need for 1 million dollar ferraris. Instead, the government and its people (which should be everyone), will be working to provide better jobs, infrastructure and development. You are not suppose to work harder to earn money but to make the country better which will in the long run increase your wealth(Keyword)

  • Socialism has no need for capital(capital .... capitalism). The main goal is social equality. Having people earn 10$ a yr while others earn 10 billion, isnt exactly fair. And before you reply to me stating that socialism sucks and that it doesnt work, I will interrupt you. I am not a socialist. But I am definetely not a capitalist. Your country uses neo-imperalism and capitalism to "earn money" in the detriment of countries that sometimes work harder. I could go on but I feel like you are stupid

  • Lol the feeling is mutual. You know you've hit a nerve when people resort to name calling. If I can make the same amount of money by sitting on my butt than I can working my butt off, I'm gonna sit on my ass. You really think people are going to work for the sole purpose of the greater good? You're living in a fairy tale land.

  • Of course YOU are. Generations are becoming less ignorant. People are going to start kicking your ass when when they see you sitting on it. There a millions of people already working for that sole purpose alone. You just aren't one of them. Fairy tale? Like a round world, sailing across oceans, flying through the sky, space travel? If there is one thing humans excel at, its making fairy tales into a reality.

  • In a perfect world, everybody would be successful; socialism is not the road to that. It didn't work in Russia, it doesn't work in Venezuala, what makes you think it's going to work here?

I'm working my ass off so I can make a better life for my family. You can't do that in a socialist country, all they do is skate by because there's no incentive to be better than average. The way to making yourself successful is through hard work, determination, and a bit of luck, not a government handout.

  • A reminder: Socialism is NOT communism. They're different.

  • I never said they were the same; communism is a form of socialism.

  • Yet you're relating Socialism with Communism. =/

  • Because they're related....

  • So what are you saying, that France, UK, Canada, and all of those countries that are deemed "socialist", are related to Communism and yet they do not look communist, at ALL? That makes no sense.

  • I'm saying that Communism is a form of Socialism, I'm not saying that France and Canada are Communists.

  • What is it that you're trying to get me to say? I'm not demonizing Socialism or saying that socialists are evil.

  • Communism has been tainted by the USSR and their form "communism" which if you really look at the facts, is not.

If you look at Marx and his ideology he said that there would be NO SOCIAL CLASSES AND NO GOVERNMENT!!

What was Russia? A Dictatorship, plain and simple. It was not Communist., Stalin used that to brainwash the people.

So how could a socialist country be Communist when there is a government, a classed society, and capitalism

People really dont know what they are talking about.

  • Yes, true communsim isn't practiced as described by Marx and Engels. The closest thing I can think of it is a monastic lifestyle. It is a utopian ideal that can't exist due to man's greed.

  • By the way, what's next on your list of insults that you got from the drive-by media? Racist? Bigot? Homophobe?

  • Socialism didnt work in Russia? It didnt work in China? Are you fucking kidding me? I thought you had common sense...

Before the Bolshevik took control of Russia in 1917, the country was in a shithole. The gap between income was so tremendous it was almost the same as the gap between an american CEO and a McDonald's cashier. The word chaos needs a better definition to describe what was going on. Socialism fixed the country and made the country better.

  • The most intriguing part of this pointless attempt, by me and others, to persuade you, is that you dont know the difference between wealth and income. You say you want to work your "butt off" to earn the money you deserve. I am sorry to tell you, but life isn't always fair. Sometimes the lazy people get promoted.

Anyway... Wealth on the other hand has nothing to do with income. You may earn a dollar a day but live comfortably. Which is why socialism is necessary, even if its not a gov. system.

  • ROFL fuckin idiot

  • Genius masked as insanity. Brilliant!!!!

  • haha this guy just slays me.. him carlin and hicks... three of the best watch out mr black!! your the last one left!! unless some more intelligent angry american citizens wake up and more importantly speak up!

  • I love how he can just go on, and on, and on without ever seeming to stop and breathe.

  • Man I hope Lewis is an observant Jew and doesn't eat pork, cause with as worked up as he gets, he needs his heart in top shape. lol

  • lmfao i laughed more during this clip than during either of his HBO specials, which I love.

  • Same. I was practically hyperventilating when he really started to get into it. Classic Lewis.

  • 5:31

"I'm building a log cabin in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with friends..."

say ya to da UP eh?

  • THANK YOU LEWIS!!!!...All that spin ISNT NECESSARY!!

  • Larry "Hilary!"

    Black: "haahaa ha oh boy"

This guy is just complete madness to the point of laughter.

  • I love all the captions :P....

    'What's making him mad now'

  • LOL when Lew starts to yell like he does...at around 2:47....try not to laugh...just try! LOL

  • if lewis black tells us who he's voting for...half of the country will follow him

  • Half the country? Half of your country doesn't even VOTE!

  • BINGO

  • More than half

  • Indeed. In fact, about 20% of the total U.S. population voted for Obama, and that's a HIGH turnout rate.

    Gotta love "democracy."

  • "Get they crawl off!"

    I LOVE THIS GUY!!

    Black for President!!

  • Larry + Lewis= MAGIC!

  • Larry???? hes a useless, talentless and uninteresting smuck. Lewis is brilliant. but i still agree with your math. just that you're adding 0 + 1,000,000 = magic!

  • I really like your response, PERFECT!! lol!

  • He said so?... like in "so what"...lol!

The Bush administration really have insulted the american peoples intelligence for the past seven years...:)

And to think that people will be voting for the nutjob Mcain really amazes me...like haven't they been following what's been going on?...Do they want more of this bullshit...?!

    God bless america...lol!!

  • when does his book come out?

  • Came out early this month.

  • "We had the opportunity of electing John McCain when he was still sane, before he had to pander to every idiot..."

EXACTLY what I was thinking. I remember an SNL skit mocking "Meet The Press" where the only thing "Tim Russert" could ask John McCain was if he would please, please seek election in 2004.

Thanks to every asshole who voted for George Bush AGAIN...

  • Lewis Black is great! Wonderfully rare to hear someone tell it like it is these days, especially on CNN. I was sorry to have missed this show and very glad to find it posted here. Thanks.

  • lewis black is the best!

  • hahahahaahhaahhaha, omf priceless when he starts making fun of bush. Man too bad you guys couldn't vote Bush in a third term cause I know you probably would, as a Canadian, its worth the Comedy :)

  • The saddest part is, you're probably completely right...

  • amazing - hilarious - true

  • thx for uploading!
