My old Hotpoint used to try and balance it would do 5 seconds of the inter spin perfectly and stop to try and trash some more it would do another 5 seconds not even getting up to 400 rpm's and stop. then go spastic and spin to full 1000 rpm without even trying to balance it in any way! The machine died because the spider snapped, so it balanced and spun, stopped went again nothing wrong, then went full 1000 snapped the spider.you could swear i had rocks my the amount of movement it made lol xxx
that was great gotta love electrolux etc lol.our old hottie wf250 had very bad marks on the door coz the programmer borke and was spinning well fast full of water :L lol
@boschlover1997 The AEG spinning full of water is normal on this machine as it is part of the rinse sequence. The drum hitting the glass isn't. Despite this though, the machine is as reliable as ever and has not been a problem since we purchased it in 2002.
Yeh my zanussi has a couple of marks on the door. Think its just something all Electrolux brands do lol :P Apart from its first few repairs when i got it (i think it was damaged in delivery) its prooved a very good machine apart from its unbalanced spins.
Yeah thats it. Its a very good machines, the only issue are the unbalanced spins. But despite the drum hitting the door and the noisy start ups to spin and finishing of the spin cycles, the machine is excellent.
Can u tell me please if this machine has a balance sensor and gives balancing trash. It should have given u some balancing trash before that spin! Bad washmaschine!!
Of course it has a balance sensor!! You asked me this in another video which I replied with yes. This machine has a balance control within the program, the drum speeds up then slows slightly because the load is unbalanced. The way that this machine works is that once a certain speed level is reached then it passes and the machine spins. Yes this machine is not good at balancing I agree but its very reliable - 7 years old and still going strong with no problems.
Well that's really good but in future the machine needs to give u balancing trash before spins like that one! If it was going to jump around when it did spin. Thanks for replying to my comment.
Well its not a major issue. It can spin unbalanced as long as it keeps working. I remember a time when certain machines didn't have balance control and they lasted fine. Our old 1980s Servis used to jump across from where it stood on unbalanced spins, the AEG is pretty stable in comparison!! I'm happy with it. Thanks.
It does this 6 in total, 3 times in 2 rinses but the last rinse with fabric conditioner the machine just does normal tumbling with a slightly higher water level. It only does spin rinses if clothes absorb enough water, if I load the machine with just a few non absorbant items then the machine doesn't do the spin rinses. Must be some water level sensor that activates it. The rinse cycle times vary also.
I have an AEG (a 90's model) and it is one of the best washing machines I've ever seen, one of those which seems to be built to last... but unfortunatly, it seems that AEG, inspite of still being good, its not the same thing than it was before, I was really lucky to find mine before these new AEG models came. (mine is AEG Lavamat 41)
Anyways your machine doesn't gave you problems yet which is good ispite of that scary thing at 00.45min.
Your model is a good one. I liked the older AEG's in my opinion these were 'proper' AEG's. The ones that they make now are just 'universal' Electroluxes, badged as Zanussi, AEG, Zanker, Electrolux, John Lewis etc etc. My machine sure is very reliable, the only issue is that it spins unbalanced sometimes which isn't a big deal I guess.

Thank you for answer, I agree with you (when it comes to the "proper" AEG that aren't made anymore)
Best wishes!
(I think one of these days I'll put some videos of mine)
