I never saw a western opera diva being photographed lying on the floor. I would ask the photographer if he has worked too much with models. Just a thought of aesthetics. What does lying on the floor imply?

@silverbud  Depends upon the circumstances. In this case i think it signifies humility: that she's a down-to-earth lady who doesn't worry too much about formality. She has a disarming, gentle smile in most of these photos and there is no indication that she finds being at "ground level" in any way demeaning or undignified. I find it quite charming!!
