Yea airsoft is fun but it really is nothing compared to paintball in my opinion. When you can upgrade and customize your paintball gun for almost any look then you know you have something worth using.

i have noticed that canadians play paintball more and americans play airsoft more, i live in canada and there are paintball stores everywhere, and when i travel to the USA and i find a paintball store half of it is airsoft, and we don't even have stores around here that just sell airsoft.

I play and love both paintball and airsoft for different reasons. The paintball near me, is mostly speedball elimination style which is very fun and intense in the arcade style. Firstly, what defines a sport? all of the above have leagues where two teams of players face off to achieve a goal. so let's use that as our definition.
SPPL(woodsball, scenario): two teams of players, facing off to achieve a goal.
USPL (US Paintball League, speedball): Two teams of players, facing off to achieve a goal.
So, by the definition that YOU helped to set up, paintball is a sport.

Airsofters play at my paintball field, and they have fun all day. I don't play airsoft because the guns scare me, but I do play paintball. It's the funnest thing in the world to me. If airsoft is the funnest thing in the world for you, good for you.
paintball is a better combat experience. you know when somebodys shooting at you because you can hear pops not little noises that sound like a toy car is struggling to get up a slope. thats why i LOVE paintball :)

Airsofts only good comeback is that airsoft is more milsim and more accurate. Sorry to bust your bubble, but paintball is way more milsim unless you play speed ball. Go to the search bar and type in scenario paintball see what you get. Airsoft more accurate, i don't think so. Most paintball guns are shot standing and off hand, and most airsoft "sniper" lay down with their plastic bipods and plastic scopes and get a better rest. Paintballs are pretty accurate if you give them a chance to be.
I think they are equally fun.. but in different ways.. I always found paintball a bit more intense, im not sure why but its got a faster pace than airsoft. Also, theres a bit more riding on being good because it actually hurts when you get hit (the first few times). but with airsoft.. the military simulation aspect makes up for alot, and the guns are alot more accurate.. and its cheaper. so theres both of my opinions.
forgot to mention you can train in the rain with airsoft and even go under water, cant do that with paintball. look up vfc scar water test. also the honor system is why airsoft is better you can cheat all you want but at the end of the day you know you got hit and honor is what makes boys into men not pretty colors on your clothing.
I personally favor paintball because it is more exicting because of the extra pain when you get hit by one. So much more ft/lbs of energy is being dispersed on impact. I have always thought of airsoft gus as "toys" no offense.

Dude, if I played airsoft on your typical paintball fields, I could kill you all before the game started (I've done it). My guns shoot well over 250 feet (at 25 rounds per second and 450 FPS).
I'm not lying... I have an a TM G3 with an M140 spring (the 140 stands for meters per second; convert that to feet and you'll see that it's over 450 feet), 6.01mm tight bore, and a 10.8v battery (and an eg1000 motor). You'd have bleeding welts to show that i shot you.

Multiply that by 36000 and divide, and you get a lot higher velocity (too lazy to calculate right now) Paintball guns shoot 300 (280 really). Multiply that out and you only get lik 200-something mph. So what's your point?
Maybe airsoft bbs do go the same distance as paintballs. but, i have been shot with a c02 airsoft rifle at about 50 yards and i thought i felt a raindrop hit me. Airsoft guns are very weak at distances past 25 yards period.........

Wow, every single one of my aisoft guns will outrange ANY paintball gun you bring me. The average gun upgraded to over 400 fps (most real ones are) shoots well over 200 feet. Mine are effective to 250. Paintball guns shoot 100 feet, maybe with a flatline barrel 150 feet, but that's it.

Airsoft bbs are very light, they will be stopped very quickly by the wind, or moved by it so they are very very very inaccurate at long ranges. bbs can shoot faster with less power behind them than paintballs, but paintballs do shoot further than bbs and are more accurate at long ranges
Actually not. Your physics is wrong. Just look at the stats. The max range of an airsoft gun at the same velocity is greater than that of a paintball gun. (B/c more things (like wind resistance and mass) come into play than you realize).

Paintballs can make you bleed. I have scars to prove it. If you like what you're doing, keep doing it, but don't put others down just because they're different than you. Airsofters play at my paintball field, and they have fun all day. I don't play airsoft because the guns scare me, but I do play paintball. It's the funnest thing in the world to me. If airsoft is the funnest thing in the world for you, good for you.

paintball is a better combat experience. you know when somebodys shooting at you because you can hear pops not little noises that sound like a toy car is struggling to get up a slope. thats why i LOVE paintball :)

Anyone who plays paintball should do this... Gather a team of paintballers and ask ANY team of airsoft(ers) if they'd like to take you on. I rest my case.

Airsofts only good comeback is that airsoft is more milsim and more accurate. Sorry to bust your bubble, but paintball is way more milsim unless you play speed ball. Go to the search bar and type in scenario paintball see what you get. Airsoft more accurate, i don't think so. Most paintball guns are shot standing and off hand, and most airsoft "sniper" lay down with their plastic bipods and plastic scopes and get a better rest. Paintballs are pretty accurate if you give them a chance to be.

I think they are equally fun.. but in different ways.. I always found paintball a bit more intense, im not sure why but its got a faster pace than airsoft. Also, theres a bit more riding on being good because it actually hurts when you get hit (the first few times). but with airsoft.. the military simulation aspect makes up for alot, and the guns are alot more accurate.. and its cheaper. so theres both of my opinions.

forgot to mention you can train in the rain with airsoft and even go under water, cant do that with paintball. look up vfc scar water test. also the honor system is why airsoft is better you can cheat all you want but at the end of the day you know you got hit and honor is what makes boys into men not pretty colors on your clothing.

I personally favor paintball because it is more exicting because of the extra pain when you get hit by one. So much more ft/lbs of energy is being dispersed on impact. I have always thought of airsoft gus as "toys" no offense.

Dude, if I played airsoft on your typical paintball fields, I could kill you all before the game started (I've done it). My guns shoot well over 250 feet (at 25 rounds per second and 450 FPS).

I'm not lying... I have an a TM G3 with an M140 spring (the 140 stands for meters per second; convert that to feet and you'll see that it's over 450 feet), 6.01mm tight bore, and a 10.8v battery (and an eg1000 motor). You'd have bleeding welts to show that i shot you.

Sorry, I forgot to reply to this. Umm, what are you trying to prove. First of all, it's 450 fps to being with. Multiply that by 36000 and divide, and you get a lot higher velocity (too lazy to calculate right now) Paintball guns shoot 300 (280 really). Multiply that out and you only get lik 200-something mph. So what's your point?

Maybe airsoft bbs do go the same distance as paintballs. but, i have been shot with a c02 airsoft rifle at about 50 yards and i thought i felt a raindrop hit me. Airsoft guns are very weak at distances past 25 yards period.........

paintball all the way!! i paintball and airsoft, but paintballing is so much more intense than airsoft, and because the paintballs are bigger and heavier, they go further than those little plastic bbs, so longer range firefights. and i think the pictures were pretty even. if all you do is play airsoft in your back yard so you prefer it, get out there and try paintball

Wow, every single one of my aisoft guns will outrange ANY paintball gun you bring me. The average gun upgraded to over 400 fps (most real ones are) shoots well over 200 feet. Mine are effective to 250. Paintball guns shoot 100 feet, maybe with a flatline barrel 150 feet, but that's it.

dude its simple science though, heavier things will go further, but not as quickly as a bb they have more momentum. Airsoft bbs are very light, they will be stopped very quickly by the wind, or moved by it so they are very very very inaccurate at long ranges. bbs can shoot faster with less power behind them than paintballs, but paintballs do shoot further than bbs and are more accurate at long ranges

Actually not. Your physics is wrong. Just look at the stats. The max range of an airsoft gun at the same velocity is greater than that of a paintball gun. (B/c more things (like wind resistance and mass) come into play than you realize).
