As big a Sisters fan as the next man (assuming the next man will also be at York Uni in February next year), but really this song is little more than a cover of "Is your love strong enough" by Roxy Music
Very true, but then ofcourse, it eventualy came as the single of the Overbombing compilation, which really contained some of the most 'poppy' songs the Sisters ever recorded. ;)
This is Awesome! It sucks that Dalton wasn't able to make a 3rd film, I think that he was robbed of the role. It feels like there was something missing in between Licence to Kill & Goldeneye. Dalton was awesome as Bond, I am a big fan of his Bond. I also found out that Depeche Mode was a contender at the time of Dalton's 3rd film. Just listen to the song c Dangerous. I think that Sisters of mercy & Depeche Mode would've been awesome for the song!
I always liked Dalton as James Bond. 100 times more then Brosman. Brosman was to much 'mr perfect' to me.
Dalton was harsh and with a deep dramatic undertone. A more interesting bond.
Pitty there never was a 3rd Dalton movie. Well guess he wasn't 'mainstream' enough. I consider the Brosman period to be a bit of a sell-out. They wanted to be so much 'typical Bond' that they forgot the soul of James Bond.
Is it true? Was this song candidate for a James Bond Soundtrack? I know it was written for The Crow OST, but this is really surprising to me, if it's true...
The 'real' video from Eldritch uses actually Terminator 2 content, but it's overal style is also simular to the Dalton Bond movies.
There is in one of the Bond novels a phrase 'Under The Gun'. If Dalton would had appeared a 3th film, the titel of that film could had been 'Under the Gun' and it defenetly would had appeard in +/- 1992.
Thus 'maybe' there were in the earlie 90ies contacts between Eldritch and MGM/UA.

'Is this a secret scrapped Bond song?'
It's possible. An urban legend...
