  • darling you are beautiful...i can't even watch the video without telling myself "wow women must envy her"

  • Question: what do you think about the Mary Kay cosmetic line and makeup brushes? I wear Bronze 607. Tell me what you think.

  • Hi, I'm sorry I don't use Mary Kay, I know the company has gone through some changes since Mary Kay passed away.

I also know their products has change too. I don''t use their makeup brushes. Sigma Makeup makes great makeup brushes.

Sorry, I don't use their bronzers,.

    Thanks for watching

    Blessings~

  • thank you so much! i am in middle school and just starting out. this video was really informative! great tips :)

  • luv all ur v vids

  • for brushes u can also look for deals on brush sets like at christmas time :) or during sales there was a huge sale in the body shop and i got a set of brushes in a roll up kit and there was a lovely selection of brushes they are really soft and nice to use

  • This is just what I was looking for. I am new to this whole make-up thing and I was wondering where do I start. This helped me alot. Thanks.

  • i love this starter kit advice thanks again Dezi!!

  • Great tips...thank you!!]

  • Hi I live in south Fl, and I have been to a few of the beauty supplies around , they don't carry the Ruby Kiss. I may have to go to MIA and I don't like it down there. Being a woman of color I have to see the color first hand. wasted so much already because colors don't match.

  • Msfynemaple, I completely understand what you mean...I have also had the same problem in the past with foundations and powders.Goodluck with your search;hope you find your color.

  • Hi , Thanks but I decided to just suck it up and use the MAC and stick with it. its the only match I have found so far. and I am not willing to waste more money.

  • Msfynemaple, I understand completely.I also use MAC in NW47 but found that Maybelline dream moouse liquid works just as well in a Dark Cocoa 3.

  • Dezi , Where would I find that ruby kiss face powder. in store so i can find my shade I found it online but I don't want to get it online as i have a hard time finding my true shade.

  • sally hansen beauty supply has it.

    good luck

  • Hi , I went to sally's a few times they don't have it in my area.

  • Msfynemaple, You can try the type that carries hair and cosmetics for people of color(no offense intended because as a black female;i shop at such places).

  • aw, well there are tons of alternatives at drugstores for that product. yeah, sometimes stores are hit and miss with things.

  • Thanks for the info though, I think I am just going to stick with the MAC and call it a day. at least I know my colors there and if am not happy I can take it back. Thanks again..Co

  • can't beat MAC. ;D

  • your hair is so pretty! i love how shiny it is.

great tips, next time i go to sally's i will chek out these items.

  • Kmart carries posh brushes!!! Hope this helps someone!

  • Thanks so much from the bottom of my heart for making this video.I am a big fan of all your videos.I am a student and definitely buy makeup strictly on a budget because right now that's all I can afford.

  • I need help with concealers. I have dark circles under the eyes. i'm a little darker than you and suggestions?

  • I'm DEFINATELY a gal on a budget. There's a lot of tutorials out there showcasing MAC or Urban Decay which are great products, but for a college student...it's a bit too expensive.

Thanks for helpin' a girl find a way to look her BEST!

  • THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

  • Beautiful hair, beautiful presentation. I'm really feeling you.

  • Very helpful, and you look gorgeous today!

  • Avon is also a great line to start out with makeup. It's cheap and they have a great selection of quad. That was my fav brand when I first entered this addictive world of makeup..lol

  • i know right! i'm friggin obsessed with it!

  • what store did u find ruby kisses

  • You can try your local beauty supply or maybe one online.

  • A great and helpful video for people new to makeup or if you need a basic starter kit that you can build on. Thanks Dezi

  • thank you! i know a lot of ppl would find this helpful. and i hate when ppl rate this to anything less than a 5. :)

    xoxo

  • Thanks for that video! It was much needed and you look amazing!

  • Thank you Dezi,

I need that info on makeup and brushes..By the Way, How long should you keep makeup?

  • u look gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks for the wonderful tips~helpful as usual. Have a blessed weekend.

  • Dezi

I love this makeup starter tutorial. Its funny because I'm experimenting with different colors whereas before I only did neutral looks. Trial and error with foundation is soooo accurate a description and I'm still trying to find the right one for me. I tried Mac StudioFix but sadly, it makes me breakout. I have noticed that Rimmel Foundation oddly enough is better for my super oily sensitive skin and that is a drugstore brand. So far its been lots of fun developing my makeup kit :)

  • i cant find those e/s anywhere :(

  • Dezie... you look so beautiful today!!

Great video, I loved all your ideas.

I am going to check out your video on your hair... Just last week I went from bleach blond to dark brown. I am naturally dark brown but have been blond for almost 20 years... haha, and it sure is a change to get used to, but I love it.

Hope that you have a wonderful and blessed day Bella.

    Hugs & Kisses

  • great vid as always

  • Your hair looks great

  • You are super glam, Dezi, and I love it. Have you always rolled like this and, if so, was you mom glam too?

I ask because some women naturally choose the best things for them and others (like me) are not nearly as comfortable.

  • Thank you for this video, Dezi. Lovely hair! Really complements your look!

  • you look great! thanks for the tips

  • Thnx Dezi I LOVED this video

  • Hello Dezi, Great Tut! Wonderful advise as always very educational and informative with excellent demonstrations.Question: I have RED RED Undertones, Oily Skin and did I mention RED Undertones? Ya! Any suggestions for a foundation type, color, name brand? Right how I am using oil free of course, liquid and powder Maybelline, Revlon and Avon after a few hours I am back to Oily and RED again. P.S. the Proactive helps a log with oil, need help with RED:< should I go to a darker color?

  • what color ruby kisses did u get? i tried chestnut and chocolate and it still too dark

  • Thank you this is a wonderful and helpful video!!!!

  • Of course Dezi you always show me knew things. I actually have ordered some samples from blacminerals so i thank you for that because they actually had color foundation that matches me. i will also be looking for some of those brushes. i have actually found NYX to have some great brushes as well at a reasonable price along with some from Avon. What a great list and thanks again Dezi. Be blessed.

  • Thank you so much

  • EXCELLENT DEZI!!! I'll do my own BK video. You just inspired me...;)

  • This is a great video! With the economy the way it is, it is great to find lower priced products similar to MAC or other expensive brands in the drugstores. Walgreens and CVS also regularly have BOGO's on Cover Girl, Loreal, and Maybelline so they are great buys. Your makeup looks beautiful! LOL:)

  • thanks this helps!

    i'll def be buying the

    essence of beauty brushes

    xox supastarrr

  • Great tips, thanks!
