That's not true in the UK they teach there are seven continents.

@thekingofmoney2000 North American and any other countries with English as a primary language were taught that there is 7 continents.
Yet, I was born in England and moved to Italy as a young boy and I was taught there was 5 continents.
Clearly the Americas, Europa, Asia, Africa and Australian area.
