@sasukeuchihalb I like the B strings the best, especially when its dropped to low A, but sadly my stock pickup at my Ibanez SR300 can't really handle heavily dropped stuff, actually, it's not really a bad pickup, but it sounded pretty flat, especially at low notes, I'm looking for a replacement PU right now, anyone had tried the Basslines Active Blackouts for bass(ASB-BO)?
@MrSFblack A certain user called jewboy345 does that a lot. he even goes as far as suggesting suicide cos he thinks u suck. he has no videos tho. Only thing him and anyone like him has is a PC, Internet, too much time and a narrow mind with a pea sized brain
@7is7a Actually, it is a guitar. A bass guitar, to be precise. And the bass guitar is just as valid to be a soloist's instrument as the guitar is, if not more so.
man I don't know if I have said it before, but I love each and everyone of your vids. I like how you explore different playing tecniques and styles. :)
@MarloweDK oh man now I really want to get my rat fixed! I went to play my bass through it for the first time to find out last time i used it with my guitar i broke the foot switch. The tone you got with it is amazing. I'm using a bass big muff right now that sounds really good but not nearly as crisp as this rat does.
I'm still playing with my bass (Cort A4) on my guitar amp and I want to buy a bass amp, but I don't really know which amps are good. I like to have some effects, distortion and combo/top+cabin. What would u recommend me? (I consider buying an effect board so effects aren't really necessary on the amp ;p) Thanks in advance!
@Diffle lol do you play bass? cuz the tuning is normally EADG right? which is the same tuning as a regular guitar only lower so it seems logical that playing power chords would be the same. but i don't know
@HouseHoldGuy1 I was being a smartass, haha. But no, I don't PLAY bass. I'll pick up the bass every now and then at my friends, and from what I've been told, power chords are the same. But they sound bad on the lower strings like EA, because of the feedback I assume. I play a simple 3-5 power chord on DG though and it sounds fine.
@HouseHoldGuy1 I've seen a lot of bassists play chords that look more like actual chords, and they don't sound muddy at all. Maybe that's the bass version of a power chord.
This doesn't sound like funk to me, more like a really long Black Sabbath bass solo. Which is amazing. I'd ask for tabs but this was mostly likely made up on the spot. Awesome.
awesome sound man are u using chords? i think u r! also ur using an octavier arent u? oh jees man this is a fantastic bass riff did u make it up yourself. Like the little rock out devil horns at the end :P and one last thing what bass is that....?
What is this the 50's? Playing with is way cooler than fingers bro, i dont see marcus miller getting laid as much as nikki sixx. It just looks cooler and sounds better. Plain and simple.
@OneMileRiot it all depends on how people wanna play no way is cooler or sounds better, but playing with your fingers gives a nice pop sound which goes great for funk bass also playing with your fingers is a bit harder than a pick
I don't see Nikki Sixx in any of the ''Greatest bass players of all time.'' Lists. You can hardly ever hear him in any of motley crue's music. I'm not arguing with that people shouldn't use picks either. One of my favorites (Justin Chancellor.) uses a pick. I just didn't like the way you said that.
