  • This scene is great. The show was great. I hate the fact that The Jersey Shore goes on and on and this was only on for a few years. Sad.

  • This is a GREAT scene. Might be my favorite, but the one from the first season where a llama snorts in Cooper's face is a close second!

  • david patrick kelly is a such a strange looking little guy haha

  • Basically is just that.

    (Laughing face)

  • Sorry but I think when he sings this and his hair turns white is the best example of the whole show, "uncle lelands hair turned white!"

  • Mairzy doats and dozy doats and liddle lamzy divey

A kiddley divey too, wouldn't you?

If the words sound queer and funny to your ear, a little bit jumbled and jivey,

Sing "Mares eat oats and does eat oats and little lambs eat ivy."

  • This is the biggest and greatest show EVER, I shun ABC now, the ONLY problem, I repeat, ONLY problem was the whole mysterious woman with broken car thing, I felt as if it didn't add to the show, sigh, if AMC took up TP back then it would still be on now, again ABC is fail

  • Hmmm I wonder if this has any correlation to the dancing midget ;)

  • Ahhh, that's was a point.

  • Twin Peaks summarized in one scene? Care to explain this lazy blob of slime explanation?

  • You're a funny guy Sully, I like you... that's why I'm going to kill you last.

  • @bloggaloggs @TheDoctorwho747 EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OWN OPINION shhhhhh calm down it's only the internet shhhhhhh

  • @rileytherese Ok you are right, I really over reacted and I want to apologize to everyone here. i just happened to be in a bad mood when I wrote all that shit, it happens.

  • @TheDoctorwho747 It's a better way to get out your anger/sadness than letting bob invade your being and going on a murderous rampage! ;o)

  • Comment removed

  • This is a very silly comment section.

  • I apologize to everyone for writing so much below. I am a writer and when I write something even a comments i try to make it the best I can. though each comment can only be 500 letters you can see I still wrote alot, and I am happy that there is at least some limit because I would end up writing pages! lol

  • @TheDoctorwho747 go get a life

  • @aboutblankita I have a life thank you, if you didn't already come back here and see the other comment I admit I over reacted big time. I just happened to be in a bad mood when I wrote all the bullshit and I am a writer so the madness just takes over and I write and write and so on. I am glad that it's limited to 500 letters on here otherwise i could write fucking pages!

  • It's no good without the whole scene up until Ben says to Jerry: Please kill Leland.

That's what makes this my favorite scene of all time.

  • It seems as though quite a few liked this scene but I think this and many others just diluted the main idea behind the series. As for the 2nd season, that seemed to go off at a tangent and really lose the plot. I mean, who cared about James fleeing off with an older woman? The series was IMO meant to be about Laura's killer and the unravelling of the seedy lives of everyone in Twin Peaks. Oh, and Maedchen Amick :-)

  • that is a pretty good summarization actually.

  • HahaHAA!! I've always loved this scene!! :-D I used to go around singing this song because of Leland... X-D

  • Some conspiracy, murder, backstabbing, and random breaking out into song and dance. It's all in a day's work here at Twin Peaks!

  • Watching Twin Peaks for the first time and had to hunt this scene down to share with a friend, just to demonstrate for him the awesomeness of the Horne brothers. Scenes like this are why I've come to adore them as much as Cooper. Can't think of too many other corrupt business men who, confronted with someone barging into their office singing, respond by breaking into dance.

  • haha!! im rewatching the show and love leland in this scene almost as much as i love his name and david lynch (mark frost - never seems to get credit)

  • I once kind of sang the song Leland was singing and my girlfriend heard it. I didn't know the lyrics, I just sang as I heard it in that episode. My gf said "what are you singing? Sing it again!" I was like "nothing & no I don't."

  • Yes that's right, I have no idea what 'pretentious' means. Gotta love the reactions of Twin Peaks Tragics when someone merely opines their emperor is naked. Lol! Harden the fuck up. But first, try watching a series that promises AND delivers.

  • @bloggaloggs woah, we got a tough guy over here!

  • Comment removed

  • @bloggaloggs cont.. Oh yeah tell me in what way did the show not deliver? The murder was solved halfway through the second season when actually Lynch intended that story to go on to the end of season 2 and some of 3 but ABC forced him to change that. Then they made him condense the W Earle story which would have been longer starting s3 into only a half with promise of renewal then fucked him over. So next time get your facts straight before making stupid fucking wrong comments!

  • @TheDoctorwho747 Lol, cute spiel. You thought I used big words? Well, if YOU consider them so. You think I had to look in a dictionary or Wikipedia? Um, no -but I'll take it as a compliment you felt so threatened by what I wrote. Oh and thanks for recounting the whole storyline of The Emperor's New Clothes. Now THAT was necessary. Lol! Settle down kid. If you can't even grasp what I'm getting at, it's pointless getting hot under the collar over it. :-)

  • @bloggaloggsSo cont. because there aren’t really aren’t that many of those. And when someone tries to argue against you just respond with even more condescending bullshit comments pitying the person who does not understand that you are always right So yes thank you again for helping me understand that you are more self absorbed, egotistical and condescending than I thought before. But what can I say? I am just a Twin Peaks fan and you are so clever that engaging in dialog is not worth the effor

  • @bloggaloggs cont. a reference to a story proclaiming yours is the only opinion and that we were all wrong until you came and said something. Then that in turn makes you out to be exactly the word they used, and then you leave us with a condescending pat on the head stating that we should find something to watch what you consider “Promises and delivers” because we can’t think for ourselves. So what do you suggest? Hey how about a show about doctors, or lawyers, cops, or maybe a reality show

  • @bloggaloggs cont. that since you made that first comment that means that your you are stating fact, not opinion, and we all will realize that you are right. So your response is that you think I feel threatened and angry about you not liking the show? You and anyone can not like it all you want, you are entitled to an opinion. However when someone like you tries to sound clever by talking shit about something using a word as if they know what it means, and then tries to sound clever by making

  • @bloggaloggs cont. my mistake so that one I will give you. But now you think I feel threatened? Hate to break it to you pal but you just managed to further prove my point by not grasping what I was saying. I recounted the emperor story for others to understand it, and you because you either didn't read it or if you did you did not understand the moral at all. You first say TP is pretentious, followed by the obnoxious reference to the emperor story. As stated earlier your comment implies

  • @bloggaloggs

Ok my mistake in typing that late and tired I should have clarified that you used a couple of big words, and then the searching I mentioned was about finding the story, that was

  • @bloggaloggs cont.. he's naked and then all the people yell in agreement. The emperor realizes this is true but holds himself proudly deciding not to be vain and be more serious. So that would imply that you think we are emperor deluding ourselves and pretending that we both like and think TP is good. And you see yourself as the child and your comment is the truth and by saying it everyone realizes you are right. I guess you do know what pretentious means since that's exactly what you are.

  • @bloggaloggs Oh wow you used some big words and made a reference to a short story. How many hours looking through a dictionary or wikipedia did that take you? Did you even read emperor's new clothes, or was three whole pages too much for you? the emperor is vain and told by swindlers he is wearing the finest clothes where he is naked, but the emperor pretends he can for fear of being unfit. His ministers also pretend and during a procession the people go along with it until a child points out

  • I love Jerry spontaneously breaking into a dance.

  • I love that scene.

  • @bloggaloggs Given that it's basically a primetime soap opera, I'm guessing you don't know what "pretentious" means.

  • @monkeys37 I can see elements of soap opera in Twin peaks, but it felt way too deconstructionist and absurdist for that label to feel right to me. (I also doubt that bloggaloggs knows what "pretentious" means.)

  • @TheRichardHinckley I always thought of it as the soap opera for people who don't like soap operas. For one thing they were constantly making fun of soap operas with the deliberate over acting and the music, plus the soap opera that was in the show that people sometimes watched was the ultimate satire.

  • @bloggaloggs

    Eat shit and die.

  • @askjiir Yeh right, THAT was worth typing... Lol! Moron...

  • @bloggaloggs

How is this series different from pretty much everything else Lynch has done?

  • @ArgonianMerchant Considering the earlier comments, I'm afraid engaging in dialog with Twin Peaks fans is simply not worth the effort.

  • tailor made for the cannabinoid family

  • I'M BACK!™

  • I think he's trying not to burst out laughing at 0:15

  • Mares eat oats, and doe s eat oats and little lambs eat ivy. A kid'll eat ivy too, wouldn't you?

  • Where we're from, the Leland sings a pretty song and there's always Ben on the table.

  • the 1st video i c on utube with absoolutely no dislikes (& blasphemy to any1 who makes=)

  • this makes me laugh, dont even know why to be honest

    its just so surreal

  • yup...thats pretty much it! lol

  • Save for Leland's singing, both Ben & Jerry improvised their dancing. You can hear Leland trying not to laugh while he is singing.

  • pretty much hahaha

  • I'm halfway through the show, and yet I can say this is very accurate.

  • @PikachuyProd Halfway through the show, huh? Lucky you, I wish it was my first time again. Or second time at least. :))

  • @Weeedyyy no spoilers!

  • @blough27 The show is 21 years old.

  • @PikachuyProd tell me, tell me you've finished the show by now, five months later

  • what a great way to be introduced to the show
