@sarinapaparone I going to get the single coil squire deluxe and add the ducan hot rail in the bridge and then $ lace pickups single coils in the mid and neck...cause i like the maple neck...what do you think
@TexasBarBQ The hot rail in the bridge really works well IMO and you know I love Lace pickups too. That is the beauty of these guitars......you can mod them until your heart's content. Thanks for watching.
@365Avalon These pickups are 4 wired and can easily be set up for coil split. I'd recommend having that done for more versatility and hopefully would cost less than the cost of a decent pickup.
Some work gone into this one Tony. Really liked the chromatic phrases that crept in, and some impressive soloing. I've got an 80's jap lightweight strat with hot rails. They're a devastating pickup. Thanks for this Tony. It was well worth the effort. Regards Roger.
@2322Hoover Thanks for watching Roger. It was a good excuse to play this excellent guitar again. You are right, the rail pickups certainly pack a punch. Regards, Tony.
@TheSquierTech Thanks for watching. I'm not sure how they compare to EMGs but they do clean up quite nicely. Somewhere in between a humbucker and single coil sound. The in between settings (position 2 & 4) even have a bit of strat quack. I like them.
@TheSquierTech Hot Rails are Seymour Duncan pickups, so they are passive pickups instead of Active pickups like EMGs (means that they're wired differently) Generally this means you'll get a warmer sound with these than EMGs.
Tony, Nice, cool playing. Love the beat and rhythm.I don't think you can combine vids in windows 7 movie maker. I recently started up with Sony Vegas Pro 10 as a result. Learning it now.
I have this guitars also and for the money it is great!!...sarinapaparone did you notice that the bridge pickup is in the middle postion? Mine was and I change them around.
Plus I really enjoy your playing and videos...it goes to show you you dont need to throw
big bucks for tone....Keep the videos coming...thanks!
@STRAT711 Thanks for watching. I haven't "checked under the hood" so I don't know if my pickups are mixed up but they sound good so I don't think I will bother checking unless I need to. I like you think this is a great guitar for the money.
AAAAHHH! Comes like a sledge-hammer! ;-)) Cool Phaser and Wah effect! Super fat drums & bass! Perfect recording - all tracks separated and clear! Awesome dynamic in this song ... real hot performance! Congratulations! Love it! CHEERS TONI!
Nice. I'm thinking of putting a single coil at the neck position on mine, just to give a little more versatility

@365Avalon That sounds like a good idea. Never though of that but let me know how you go if you end up doing it. Thanks for watching.
