John cleese should be Q because that is the top positions name in that branch. You don't see the name MONEY NICKEL ( money penny ) or N ( m ) because that is their role with the new actors. Q position is a promotion. Also the Daniel Craig movies should include the Q branch because we as Bond fans always enjoyed those devices in the movies.

Oh, the Gyrojet guns. Interesting concept, never went anywhere though. The rockets needed to build up speed, hence they were completely useless at point blank range.

The end when Q takes his escape route gave me a sad reminder that Bond will never be the same. It's been said before time and time again but I'll repeat it...RIP Desmond. You'll be...you are sorely missed.

Desmond Llewelynd, o Q original fazia de uma parte de escada comica para certas sequencias em que Bond (de Connery a Brosnan) recorria as suas invenções e de um modo meio irreverente deixava o engenheiro meio irritado. Em "O Mundo não é o Bastante" a despedida de Desmond Llewelynd, passando a bola para John Clesse, este se despedia de 007 dizendo que sempre orientou a Bond que ficasse vivo. Q era mais que o fornecedor das armas de 007. Era o verdadeiro heroi por tras de Bond

The fag-head producers clearly want to use much less money for the new films and make large profit which is probably why they removed the whole time consuming cost of making gadgets a special looking villain and henchman not to mention they totally messed up the last pierce movie as for the latest movies here is how they should have been:Same director cast is fine too but please god add some gadgets add some mystery .....

Yes, Desmond Llewelynd, the original Q, died. However, John Cleese replaced him. The reason why you haven't seen Q in the new Bond films with Daniel Craig is because the producers/directors are trying to make a "different" Bond. They're trying to make Bond all about guns and explosions, without any of the great clever wit, charm, plot, villains and tech that made Bond who he is. No Q, no Money Penny, nothing. It disgusts me. That's not who Bond is! It never was!!

I couldn't BEAR it, in QoS, when he jsut punches people, out of control "troubled" and he growls at the guy to drink motor oil...

I want Brosnan's wit and suave stature back.

I want Q and gadgets and Moneypenny and Bond girls with fun names back.

I know jusst what you mean- I always knew when Bond's primary adventure was starting, because Q qould give him the toys and send him off. Craig's Bond is good, but he needs a Q.

NOT TO REPLACE DESMOND, before you all burn me at the stake. But really- they've rebooted the franchise, and I think such a raw, young 007 as Craig plays needs someone like Q to give him a bit of stability- otherwise, he might just be another

carbon-copy action "hero."
