  • I was at this show.

  • @cstefos when is this from?

  • @phillybird711 Aug 27th 2000. :)

  • If time machines were possible, there would be 10 million people packed in that place. This is the best live version of this song. The other ones I've seen mess with the ending too much.

  • this is best live only in dreams ive seen on youtube so far..a shining moment for the band

  • this song's for my mom

    and she's right over here

    because i love her

  • @tylapan Indeed... Poor Mikey :( R.I.P.

  • when weezer was weezer

  • @dav511 What are they now?

  • blue album and pinkerton takes all their later albums round back and beats them to death

  • @MegaBobbery They've been playing it live a lot lately actually.

  • LOOK HOW RIVERS WALKED IN! LOL! he reminds me of the nerds in my school. i wish rivers was still like this...not all wild on stage

  • I was at this show!

  • This is the song that reminds me of my break up with my one true love. and yet i still fucking love this song

  • @goodrob1985 i feel u man :)

  • @burnnlearn I wanna feel him too.

  • obey sticker on the drums wassup

  • ................

  • A masterpiece of rock music. Their best song, I think... I really did enjoy this album when I was 17.... Thanks for the video! Ciao from Italy!

  • Amazing!!! such a great sound!

  • This is one of my all time favorite songs.

  • through the nirvanas, the smashing pumpkins all the way to the cooheeds and the pinbacks, this will always be my favorite song. No song will ever move me like this song does

  • ah, back in the day when Rivers used to actually play guitar instead of running around the stage, and jumping on trampolines. Now that's only in dreams.

  • @obietriple7 No it's not. He's playing guitar in 95% of their concerts now.

  • @obietriple7 i've never loved anyone and hated anyone simultaneously as much as i do rivers cuomo. love him for what he did in the 90s and even in the green album period. and of course hate for everything since then.

  • So out of tune, yet so awesome.

  • awesome solo awesome solo awesome solo

  • your both idiots, go argue somewhere else you arseholes, great song, nice to see rivers playing guitar

  • The solo is amazing

  • Its just one of those songs...

  • Rivers puts himself completely into this live, I wish I could write songs like this genius...

  • OMG...memories....love this love this.....

  • ROFL! look at pat

  • cytherea 0:27

  • This song is one of the few songs I would get buried with me, but its something that they cannot play every show....True art can't be replicated and mass produced.

  • "You can't avoid her, she's in the air in between the molecules of oxygen and carbon dioxide". It makes me smile everytime I hear it. Genius.

  • I saw Weezer at a show in the late 90's, they closed with Only in Dreams, brought out the Shining =w= and dropped confetti all over the crowd from the ceiling, it was the best 10-12 minutes of my life. That's right I said it....the best 10-12 minutes of my life.

  • lol cool Andre The Giant Has a Posse

  • nothing. beats. blue. in my opinion, pinkerton comes close, but... nothing. beats. blue.

  • @greeneyedladypotion pinkerton beats blue

but this song alone beats life.

  • @greeneyedladypotion totally agree

  • WHAT IS THE DRUMMER DOING?

  • totally get to see this at the show tonight. The Entire BLUE ALBUM!!

  • @caliagent702 How was that?! Videos??

  • know what im sayin niggas sometimes gotta sell out..... i like that obey sticker on the bass drum and the best part of the song is the end ...it sounds the best when your in your car on a friday after class in los angeles........for everything else theres mastercard

  • know what im sayin niggas sometimes gotta sell out

  • 12th grade on the bus every morning I would listen to this song, still half asleep. Too bad I can't get into it anymore as much as I used to. But man I got into it.

  • Can't wait for the two Memories Tour dates in LA! Got tix for both nights (:

  • Yes Hurley sounds much more like the Weezer I remember.

  • This was my favorite song in the world when I was 15. Simpler times, man.

  • @rasputin33 I'm 15 but I feel like I know what you mean, even though I'm not there yet.

  • the best weezer song

  • This song is just fucking jizzworthy

  • Pat's so sloppy in this clip and I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The whole band came in like I dont give a fuck!!!! LOL

  • My favorite performance EVER.

  • That's not even Patrick on the drums, is it? Doesn't look like him.

  • @DisguiseDK yeah it is it was, he's had hair before :)

  • @DisguiseDK it is him

  • I've nearly ripped the steering wheel off my car before rocking back and forth to the end of this song and come to fucking tears. Weezer wrote some other great songs but this one is so far above the others it's ridiculous to compare.

  • Their best song! I love that bridge, its so beautifull

  • this has always been my favorite song by them... thanks for sharing this :)

  • I'm wanting to disagree with everyone that says "they've sold out" or "they've changed" or all that negative shit but I really can't come up with a counter argument to it. Yeah, they've really let me down "make believe" and after. Yeah i'll bet there cool to hang with or whatever but i just don't get that feeling anymore when i listen to a new weezer cut. i can't really even believe it's the same dudes in a way.

  • I THINK ITS FUKD UP THAT THEY DID THIS SONG WITHOUT MATT SHARP BEIN N THE BAND ANYMORE..I THINK ONLY N DREAMS IS THERE BEST SONG EVER MADE..SO THEY SHOULD HAV NEVA PLAYED IT LIVE AGAIN AFTER MATT LEAVIN JUS OUT OF RESPECT FOR THE MAGIC THAT THE BAND HAD WHILE THE ORIGINAL MEMBERS WERE 2GETHA..BUT I STILL LUV WEEZER..FAVOIRITE BAND BESIDES THE BAND MATT SHARP FORMED AFTER LEAVING.."THE RENTALS"

  • If i had one wish I would wish that weezer would go back to how they used to be or I would wish that the 90's would last forever....

  • @bobs146 i couldnt agree more

  • niceee best song all time

  • wat year was this again?i jus wanna kno wat year so i will b able to kno which bass player

  • maybe its this rancid burrito i'm eating, but that gave me chills

  • What year was recorded this?? I love Weezer, Blue Album :D =w=

  • @drinkcoffe In 2000

  • When i grew up, the Blue album was such a jem of a find. lol

  • A eight minute song never seemed so short

  • yup..this is true weezer..i still like em tho..i wish matt sharp was still n the band

  • Love the bassline....very easy to do as well

  • best bass line I ever heard

  • Climatic ending. Greatness.

  • saw weezer for the first time last summer..literally waited for this song the entire time..it never came

  • I can't help but get lost in this song.

  • Man, I miss those days and I wasn't even there : (

  • And that ladies and gentlemen is why Weezer is the greatest band ever...

  • @michaelkay ....was the greatest band ever

  • @michaelkay amen!

  • this song reminds me of the summer. weezer's best song of all time. no. no. no sratch that. The best song of all time. period.

  • easily my favorite weezer song. such good memories or highschool.

  • @ericnilla same here ... memories of school

  • This song changed me

  • Me too. In a lot of ways.. I <3 Weezer.

  • Epic Is short for this...Incredible,Unique,perfection,Awesome...

  • lol i was definitley at this show

  • @evanparker wow, respect

  • These fuckers need to put this song in all their live burns. I've been to three shows now and didn't get a taste of this song once. Not one freaking time. Instead, it's always about the latest album and cuts they assume the fans will go nuts over. I'm sorry, but "We Are All on Drugs" gets played at every show, and "Only in Dreams" doesn't? It's like eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich without the bread.

  • i know when i went to the weezer show i went to no only in dreams! and only one song off of pinkerton

  • I've been to three shows as well and have been waiting to hear their best song

  • @RavishingBeyond

Its more like asking for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and instead someone comes out of nowhere and throws a handful of peanuts right at your eyes.

Thats how I would if I went to a Weezer concert and got all new shit.

  • thats cause they havent played this song live since matt quit.

  • @alphamale15

...actually they have. ive seen them play this a few time since.

  • @RavishingBeyond hahahaha i agree man

  • @RavishingBeyond Actually its like eating pb&j with just bread and no pb&J.

  • @RavishingBeyond seen this probably 12 shows out of 27

  • @RavishingBeyond I would be so disappointed if I went to their concert and didn't hear this song. :- /

  • @RavishingBeyond now you can on their "Blinkerton Tour" check out the details you'll definitely be happy about it

  • @RavishingBeyond your wish has been granted... google weezer memories tour.. 2 nights each venue, pinkerton and blue in their entirety

  • @EastCoastAvenger And tickets were gone for all five shows within an hour of going on sale...

  • @EastCoastAvenger i wish i lived in the US :O

  • @RavishingBeyond I hate bread.

  • @RavishingBeyond you shoulda went this year they played the whole blue album

  • @RavishingBeyond They played it live now and its horible rivers is washin up man. I hate it.

  • @MrPrestonWeezer: The fuck are you talking about? I saw it twice and it was absolutely brilliant both times. The only time it hasn't been up to snuff was night one in LA.

  • @MistaRowland who the fuck are you?

  • @MrPrestonWeezer: Who I am doesn't matter. Who are you? A whiny douche on youtube proclaiming that a band is washed up.

You can call Weezer washed-up for so many reasons (Rad&Hurley, the youtube invasion, the floundering album sales)... but their performances of Only In Dreams this year have been massive and awesome.

  • @MistaRowland Ahh. I found out your some Mid-Life crisis loser thats a bit washed up yourself.. get over it buddy.

  • @MistaRowland Ahh. I found it out, your some Mid-Life crisis loser thats a bit washed up yourself.. get over it buddy.

  • @MrPrestonWeezer: I'm 21. Your profile says you're 32. I'll let the mathematicians figure this one out.

Is English your second language? lol

  • @MistaRowland Dude your like too much of a weezer fan. calm down before u shit yourself or somethin and get a life

  • @MrPrestonWeezer: And yet you're the one with the Weezer SN. lol.

  • @MistaRowland idk if yuor tone deff but theres a big difference between this and what they play now. go shove some shit up your ass or somethin u fuckin youtube stalker. and im tired of seein your messages fag. sorry to hurt your feelings

  • @MistaRowland idk if your tone deff but theres a big difference between this and what they play now. go shove some shit up your ass or somethin u fuckin youtube stalker. and im tired of seein your messages fag. sorry to hurt your feelings

  • @MistaRowland idk if your tone deff but theres a big difference between this and what they play now. go shove some shit up your ass or somethin u fuckin youtube stalker. and im tired of seein your messages fag. plus i just randomly put 32 as my age cuz who cares (but you?)

  • @MrPrestonWeezer I guess "your" tone "deaf" and you automatically think older=better so whatevs.

Seeing your SN and looking at your profile = youtube stalker. Right.

You're the one who's been freaking out and attacking me. I've just been disagreeing with your opinion. I wish 12 year olds would get off their mommies' computers.

  • @MrPrestonWeezer "go shove some shit up your ass" hmmm haven't heard that one before. nice payout

  • Absolutely nailed this performance. :D

  • Weezer=greatest ever. people rip on their new stuff, but i still love it. it's just less emotional, because rivers has finally found someone. he was lonely back in the day, and he expressed that through music.

  • one of the greatest endings to any rock and roll song ever

  • god i remember being like 7 and listening to this album over and over with my cousin who was like 11...i was already in love with the cars from birth so i was destined to love the blue album!

soundtrack to many summer days and nights

like in between 6:28 and 7:29 i feel my life in between the notes.insane

  • 'i feel my life in between the notes'. you know, I have always tried to put into word how this song makes me feel and that perfectly descibes it. thank you

  • haha you're welcome

  • Holy shit....that solo gave me goosbumps...Thumbs up to weezer, one of my fave bands

  • wow , audio actually isnt bad,

  • mind blowing

one of the best melodic solos ever!

  • weezer is beast

  • Weezer is awesome sauce. :D

  • this song is for my mom... yeaaa lol!

  • This was back when weezer was great, before they sold out and became a lousy pop band

  • Yeah, but Rivers had a lifetime to write the blue album. After that he was under pressure of expectations and time constraints. So, obviously anything after the debut album probably won't be as "good". I don't really see how they sold out. I'm pretty sure signing with a major label is selling out then. God forbid you make a living off what you want to do.

  • You're right. The thing that was so genius with Weezer's debut was, apart from Rivers being a extremely talented songwriter and musician, that is was so un-pretentious and un-snobby. You could feel that these guys loved both Nirvana and Pixies and Judas Priest and Kiss and that is a good approach - good music will always be good music, no matter it's "indie credibility".

  • but you can't deny that weezer is a completely different band now than they were back then. I mean the blue album is one of my all time favorite albums out of any band but the only other weezer album I can listen to is pinkerton. Out of 7 albums that is not very good odds. I wouldn't say they sold out, just changed for the worse.

  • @freedomtodance three cheers for you comment! well said...

  • @freedomtodance Pinkerton>The Blue Album

  • I see your point but you can't say "obviously nothing after the debut will be as good" because plenty of band's best albums aren't their debuts.

  • @Rockrising58 They were always a pop band.

Now they just suck at being a pop band.

  • @Rockrising58 lol your a fucking fail

  • @J0rdanMan Would you consider teaming up with lil wayne a grab for royalty dollards or what? Honestly what theyre setting out now is the same shit as all american rejects, nickleback, shinedown, daughtry, shitty overproduced fake rock in order to win over the young popular crowd. Would you ever think listening to a great song like this that theyd be using drum machines and vocorders in future albums? No it didnt occur naturally during there time as a band, it was interntional to make money

  • @Rockrising58 i will agree that they went too far with the snuggie thing but that's it Weezer didn't want to sell out but the label record did so that's why they have lil wayne on their new album and bands always change or break up or their lead singer kills them self >.< either way i still love Weezer =w=

  • @Rockrising58 how have they sold out?

  • @TakeUrPantsOff92 They sold out because they make SHITTY pop and rap songs with no emotion. "Raditude" has a track with Lil Wayne. They do whatever is popular to make money.

  • @TakeUrPantsOff92 Have you heard even one song of their new album... its getting hard to represent these days...

  • @Rockrising58 actually Hurley was a great comeback, its like they took Pinkerton bsides and amped them with better recording

  • Awesome, Patrick stole the show !

  • EARGASM EVERY TIME A HEAR THIS!

  • ha thats great same here man

  • Grande Weezer

  • without a doubt one of my favorites if not my favorite Weezer song

  • amazing!!!

  • holy sweet goddamn

  • lupos is in Providence Rhode Island

  • words cannot express how much i love this song

  • 100% with you on that

  • Comment removed

  • beautiful.

  • fuckshitcock

  • Patrick is amazing live.

  • Pat In the beginning :Worship:

  • The songs that go above and beyond are the songs that have a bass line NOT just all root notes, but a line that is diverse and intertwines with the rest of the band.

  • great bass line!

  • MY EARS ARE HAVING AN ORGASM!

  • i agree

  • I believe the technical term is an EARGASM

  • Pat Wilson looks like an ex-con in this video.

  • Comment removed

  • Best bassline in....

    Well ever.

  • Best Stoner song ever! The days tripping out to this song were days well spent thank you Weezer!

  • This song is too beautiful to even be associated with the w
