I fully support Hans Teeuwen. First of all, he's a comedian and therefore everyone should realize that he's trying to be funny and not trying to insult people. Furthermore, feeling insulted, just like he says, can be because of any statement. I could even feel insulted being called 'manly' or 'white', even though I'm male and white. These girls act as if it's a virtue to have faith, to be religious and that religion should automatically receive respect... that's just silly.

The reason that some people feel insulted very easily is because they have a very low self esteem. Especially low educated women and people from lower ranks of society are vulnerable for that. It's really very simple. These people have a very weak identity. They have no education or an important job where they can identify with. The only thing that's left to identify with is their religion. So they believe e.g.:

I wish you could all understand Dutch, the subtitles don't do justice to the poor performance of the Halal chicks and Hans Teeuwen. They were so childish and insulted him by degrading him. "Hallo, hallo," is a way of saying: "Shut up, I want to say something!" and when he said that religious people tend to think they have a monopoly on the truth, one of them said: "Wow, you do know some difficult words, don't you?"
I'm not a big fan of Teeuwen, but he absolutely rocked in this clip!

I fully support Hans Teeuwen. First of all, he's a comedian and therefore everyone should realize that he's trying to be funny and not trying to insult people. If one "sees the forest for the trees" than all religious view points are different means to the same end. The reason that some people feel insulted very easily is because they have a very low self esteem. Especially low educated women and people from lower ranks of society are vulnerable for that. It's really very simple. These people have a very weak identity. They have no education or an important job where they can identify with. The only thing that's left to identify with is their religion. So they believe e.g.:
I 'AM' (!) a Muslim. Critique on Islam is now felt as identity attack.

If there is a god or a supreme creator, it must be within the boundaries of scientific and evolutionary boundaries, oh and chances are that he doesn't give a shit about Humanity :)

Ik ben het met je eens, maar ik geloof niet dat de oplossing ligt in het bestrijden van Islam. Veel beter zou zijn om religie in zijn algemeen terug te brengen tot particuliere bezigheid. Géén subsidiering van enige vorm van religieuze activiteiten, géén indoctrinatie van kinderen op gescheiden onderwijs en géén confessionele politieke partijen. Begrijp goed dat islamisten vooral kunnen meeliften op de macht van de christenunie, sgp etc. Als de SGP het hier voor het zeggen had....

Het is geen slechte ondertiteling hoor. Je kunt in een snel gesprek nu eenmaal niet elk woord gaan zitten vertalen, maar als jij het dan beter kan, nou wat let je om hier voor ons even de juiste vertaling neer te gaan zetten?

Ik ben hier op youtube een aantal katholieken tegengekomen die een katholieke staat willen en dus OOK wel degelijk een bedreiging vormen voor onze seculiere rechtsstaat, maar daar hoor je niemand over want iedereen is tegenwoordig bezig met moslim-bashing. Hoe zit het met die "gematigde" christenen die daar niets van zeggen? Het land uit? Of mogen ze gewoon blijven omdat het christendom nu eenmaal al eeuwenlang hier bij het meubulair hoort?

En als je fundamentalistische katholieken de kans zou geven komt de inquisitie weer helemaal terug. En wat te denken van hun belastingvrije status? Een kerk is nog lucratiever dan een bv!

Georganiseerde religies, ben er zelf ook niet voor, zullen er nu eenmaal altijd zijn, of wij dat nu willen of niet. Er zullen altijd mensen zijn die het aanhangen. Maar zolang ze niemand lastig vallen hoeven wij ze ook niet lastig te vallen. Als Teeuwen werkelijk een missie had om mensen wakker te schudden omtrent de islam, dan is dit zeker niet de manier. Maar hij heeft geen politieke of maatschappelijke bedoeling. Hij shockeert om het schokeren. Zijn bijdrage aan de New Kids on the Block (die overigens ook voor geen meter grappig zijn) is daar ook een bewijs van. Met het unprovoked beledigen van moslima's die nooit iemand kwaad gedaan hebben is hij gewoon laag gezonken.

hah ! those three chicks don't manage for a split second to get a grip on Hans Teeuwen, who is of course 100% right. Sarcasm, satire, the odd insult, ARE quintessential parts of the Dutch comedy tradition, which is, credit where credit is due, the best in Europe - after the British. I'm Belgian, fluent in Dutch, and I have to say : Dutch comedians are often incredibly funny/original. Those three muslim chicks should accept that THIS is the Free West or emigrate to fucking Saudi Arabia

I wish you could all understand Dutch, the subtitles don't do justice to the poor performance of the Halal chicks and Hans Teeuwen. They were so childish and insulted him by degrading him. "Hallo, hallo," is a way of saying: "Shut up, I want to say something!" and when he said that religious people tend to think they have a monopoly on the truth, one of them said: "Wow, you do know some difficult words, don't you?"
I'm not a big fan of Teeuwen, but he absolutely rocked in this clip!
