  • never has going fast looked so lame. And why would someone prefer an automatic?

  • you should have a look at are scooters in Europe they do alot more faster than 80mph lol

  • Whole lot-a FAIL Stop wasting your monies on a skewter and just make payments on 1000cc sport bike?

  • @WTFp0s you go fill up your 1000cc bike everyday to the top and get 20 mpg out of it, while i go fill up my moped every 2 weeks and get 180 mpg out of it. heh.

  • I want to see this 200cc under the seat of the UM Powermax-GP1 or a suitable clone thereof, with 13" wheels and a pair of Michelin WorldClass 'H' speed rated tires.

Most scoots around here with the GP1 chassis are 49cc.

So locally, it would be the ultimate sleeper-scooter! :-)

  • what variator was used for this moped? and how heavy were the weights that were used?

  • Yea i had a 150cc gy6 running 80mph stock. We stripped it and now run the whole set up on a 4wheeler. Talk about quick lol. It's all torque and go. We are posting more videos to come. Check out our videos and tell me what you think?

  • my stock 150cc will do the speed this thing does.lol

  • Here in Puerto Ricoo ; we race gy6 scooter like they are cars its our culture anyway ive seen 63cc stroker gy6 scooter blow the fairings of of 250cc scooters like kymco bet & win and people. This scooter here is slow because it does't have a tuning it needs a good tuning and it will be fast.

  • @HondaReaKk we sell a ton of our parts in PR. Mas bien somos la marca mas conocida en el mercado. - It's a TV show we did it for entertainment I'm sure if we wanted to we could have made something faster. See our other videos on Puerto Rico racing.

  • how is it on fuel?

  • For the price of the scooter and the squandered money on crappy scooter upgrades....you could have bought a nice used 250cc Ninja (hell any 250cc) that would have blown that scooter out of the water. Buy a scooter to save money on gas and insurance...thats it. Buy a motorcycle if you want preformance....oh and still save on gas! You cant polish a turd and tell people its gold!

  • @JILLFIREHAWK777 yea you can deff polish a turd and tell ppl its gold...dosnt mean ur gon sell it....but u can ;p

  • @JILLFIREHAWK777 The whole idea is you want something automatic.

  • @MartinRacingPerf exactly, i have a NSR 250 se and a Honda VFR400 and neither are as fun to ride as my yp125. easy in traffic, fast off the line and comfortable all day long.

  • Yes this United Motors Xpeed and the GP1 are generic GY6 150cc engines. MRP has been importing and distributing performance parts for the GY6 since 2004. We were the first company in the US upgrading these so we've seen this scene evolve since then. It's a great engine 90% of whats imported these days. The GY6 Liquid Cooled is much better like a CF MOTO

Please note - The TV show we appear on is not MRP, its a TV show and sometimes on the show things are done in a certain way to be entertaining.

  • A 200cc, kit good for an 80mph approx, on a small buck-fifty scooter, like the UM Power-max GP1 would make for one hell of a liquor cycle!

In the US, scooters are just starting to take off. We've never laid eyes on the likes of a Gilera Runner or Dragster-180. (sad as it is to say) All we ever see locally are the 49cc, 30mph, rolling-road-hazards.

I know what my running gear will be, straight up! ;-)

  • @Kane28655 thats true all you see is the 50cc's out there, and thats why people disrespect scooters so much, they think there all slow! bs there all slow!

hoping to get mine to do around 60ish that would be enough for me to cruse around :)

  • @lainnorcal The market is changing in the US slowly, Kymco has a 700cc that will be coming to America next year, the Silverwing is a top seller for Honda. The Tmax still hasnt taken off like in Europe, but once gas prices get to $4 again it will be a different story.

  • hahah mrp guys you are a little slow with all thats part you instal on that scooter hahah 6 dyas to finish a motor of a scooter i can do it in like 6 or less hours and put it to run 90mph with less racing parts than that i can prove it with a video my gy6 is bad ass!! hahah you just need to do some things to that piston and the camshaft and the crankshaft secret number and cuts on the machine shop an you can easly run 95-100mph Puerto Rico got the fastest scooters including mine hahah

  • A UNITED MOTORS GP1 125 can convert 200c.c.

And where can I buy the kit? The cost?

  • nice,, but my mrp/tgb-x is by o.c motorworks'' run about the same 82 mph''

it wood be a nice race'' O'' and the girl?

    nice too!!

  • 80mph on an uncalibrated car speedo...more like 75mph

  • I want the girl!!!

  • I WANT A RIDE HER

    she look fast

  • SHES GOT GOOD FORM... AND LOOKS STRAIGHT.... so its good

  • Stock stroke and bore, 57.8 x 57.4 , at 149.5cc

    Modified stroke and bore, 57.8 x 62, at 174.4cc

    80mph,not bad

  • You should see the videos on here of the GY6 powered ruckus in Taiwan that will do 80 easily, it'll do monster burn outs too!

  • Thanks,

The show is a hit it comes out on direct TV, Dish, available in 151 million US homes.

We have a Vespa and Kymco in this seasons episodes for 2009

  • I think you made a great work.

  • ummyea wow FAGS!!! for real how bout you hop on a busa then say wow again

  • lol for real

  • rofl, why dont you go to a race track where it takes more skill than just twisting the throttle like any uneducated moron can do...LOL

  • Youve got the wring Idea of this video dude, they are testing the top speed of the bike, not the riding ability of the rider!!! learn to read

  • you got the 'wring' idea :P, i was talking to the fag bitching about a hayabusa

  • Hi everyone,..i ve seen the Vento Phantom 150 R4i,..i think it looks great,so i may get one ...anyway i`d like to get the opinion of people who knows about scooters,..so,if u please, ..thanx a lot

  • you should try top speed behind the bike, so wind resistance plays a real life factor

  • Errr.... A Suzuki SV650 with abs breaks, new technology and uncontested reliability is only a few thousand more than these shit scooters.

  • 80 mph? I think these scooters should be modded more on acceleration than top speed... My old 170cc was tuned with MRP parts and it accelerated really hard. I have a 250cc liquid-cooled scooter... has a top speed of around 90-mph, but a 155cc MRP-based scooter kept with me until the 65 mph mark.

  • nice looking bike, looks like it can move right along,80mph awesome got to get me one.

  • with these mods 80 is not kick butt it is lick butt

  • yeah bud, but when You think the stock bike will be lucky to crack 55mph, so adding 50cc they've added 25mph, not a bad acheivement...

  • jeepXJforever, cmon open your eyes why would 60 be at the to at the speedo`?

  • Typically 90 is the top of the speedo on 150cc scooters and 50 on the 50cc scooters. Look aorund on youtube for malossi 172cc scooters and you will find many 100mph plus scooters

  • new ground for the americans.. great.

but europe is leding this race buddy xD

wiht 80mph its about the semi-racing class, step up to a challenge and join us at HyperRacing class= under 100cc and over 110mph+/24bhp+

  • Patrick, where do you get parts to do that?

Im looking for performance parts for my Kymco Agility 125cc

  • I'm not that impressed with only 80 mph from a 150cc scooter heavily modified to 200cc? My 125cc Peugeot Satelis achieves close to that (110-115 kph / roughly 70 mph) without any modifications whatsoever. However, build easy-to-install modification options to increase the performance of my scooter and you'll have an instant customer.

  • the speedo is in mph not kmph right?
