Los needs to be a safety PERIOD.....he is a playmaker in the secondary.....him and Joyner is almost unfair.....we're fine at WR with Greene, Green, Shaw, Bracy, Rodney, Dent, Haggins, Benjamin, Haulstead

@RajonRondoShow Benjamin isnt close to ready to contribute. Karlos came in way behind in pass coverage and has since been passed up by brooks in that aspect. I'm not saying he cant get there but in the meantime he's too athletic to use in a backup/ST role for another whole season. Getting him some touches would only benefit our team as he has the best size to speed combo on the team.

@Gunnz287 Parks sucks. I have heard rumor that Terrance Brooks will join Joyner at safety and Karlos Williams could move to WR which could be fun to watch. That size/speed combo doesnt exist anywhere else on this team and rarely anywhere else in the country.

@cerebralfish1 But the wide-receiving unit will be deep as it stands right now. I would rather see him and Joyner as the starting safeties. Los would wreck shop at WR but i think Los/Frankenstein safety tandem will intimidate a lot of offenses..

So that leaves, possibly the most athletic guy on the team as a backup safety next year? Ive heard from some FSU sites he could be phased into the offense.

I believe Brooks takes over for Mike Harris in 2012 getting snaps at Corner and Nickle. Especially if Rhodes and Reid leave early. Los just needs time. He didn't play alot of coverage in High School. He was playing down in the box cracking heads alot. He'll come around. He was only a Frosh.

@WestheLegend Reid isnt going anywhere. He's a return man at best in the NFL and there's no way he's an NFL CB. KB isnt anywhere near ready to play as he is very raw. Williams has more to offer right now than Dent or Haggins. Haulstead and Rodney Smith have reached their ceiling. Theyre both average WRs although Haulstead is physical. None of the players I mentioned have the explosive athletic ability/ceiling LOS has. He also played a lot of WR in high school. Might not happen but could.

@WestheLegend He can just come in on a few packages. Maybe add him into some read option or reverse looks. We could even just get him into some bubble screens to get him in space. I dont think he would be an every down WR, but when he's on the field the defense will have to account for him.

@cerebralfish1 I just couldn't disagree with you more. Obviously, it's the mental aspect of the game that's eluding him. So what do you do? You ADD more on top of him by making him run and learn plays on offense...AND defense? No. No WAY. Either he's ALL offense or ALL defense. No packages, no special routes. Nothing. We NEED depth at Saftey. Literally, when you're playing Parks or Moody, that's not good for a team looking to be elite. Los will get his shot in 2012. On Defense.

He tons or WR and RB in a zone read scheme in high school so he doesnt have to learn much at all to get some touches on O. I agree we need depth at safety and as I said he will be a backup safety. I just think he is too dynamic a playmaker to not find a way to get him on the field with the ball in his hands. Brooks and Joyner will be the starting safeties barring injury.

If he switched to offense he would have wasted an entire year filling his head with the defensive plays, signals, fundamentals, etc. Why not have Brooks and Joyner at safety, then in a nickel formation move Brooks back down to nickleback and have LOS fill his spot?

@904austin We will probably see some 3 safety looks next year at which point LOS will be fine at safety. My point is that right now he has a lot of catching up to do as Joyner and Brooks get the nod right now in the base defense. I'm not saying LOS cant play defense. I'm just saying he's better with the ball in his hands than almost anybody on our team with the exception of R Greene, and maybe G5 but thats comparing apples and oranges.

@WestheLegend I get lots of info from Tomahawk Nation but not the 3 safety thing. We just happen to have much more depth at safety than LB. Telvin Smith is even a hyrbrid pretty much so that gives us LOS, Brooks, Joyner, and Telvin. At LB CJ7, Luc hopefully? We're thin there so we dont have much of a choice.

With our big ass Dline punishing all the Oline like they do, Telvin can just run thru and bust up RB's and QB's, which is awesome to watch. Dude is beast. I'd play that guy on the outside, maybe put Luc in the middle? I have yet to see Luc live up to the hype. Christian Jones is the best guy we have, maybe one of the best in the nation. That helps.

@cerebralfish1 I think Williams is a senior this year if I'm not mistaken. More than likely he will get the nod at MLB. I'm not sure what's up with Jeff Luc, he'll be a junior in 2012. I would hate to see him not pan out, but when he gets in the game he just looks awkward and anything but comfortable.

@WestheLegend Its looking like WR/H-back. He might see some wildcat packages. He was WR/RB on offense in high school. Terrance Brooks got signifigant snaps at safety last year while LOS earned zero. Our safety depth is fine with Joyner, Brooks, Bright and Demps. Karlos is by far the most dynamic athlete on the team so I agree with the push to get him touches as a guy like that can help us more at WR than backup safety.

The O? ehhhhhh not so much, If he can really give the team a spark then I don't see why not give the kid a shot I suppose. I really liked what I saw from T. Brooks this year too, I think he's actually going to be a pretty good saftey, Lamarcus will obviously make him look better too, being the player he is.
