  • werent the Chinese 12 years old?

  • @jennyboom Cheng Fei was 20 here I believe

  • @jennyboom They believed He Kexin was, and also Jiang YuYuan. but the IOC cleared them 3 years ago so no use in fighting it. i believe it was brought to attention because USA got beaten by talented gymnasts. in 2004 we crushed them and we didnt do anything about it. so why do it now?

  • It would of been epic if Alicia got bronze. Americans would of medaled in all four events!

  • @camjay8 the chinese didnt medal on floor so its almost like the usa and the chinese were neck and neck in medals

  • @tatulover2120 Okay. I just thought it would of been cool if the U.S. medaled on all four events.

  • I love cheng fei.. But come on... She fell and Alecia HIT. It's only because she's Chinese.

  • SACARMONE DESERVED A MEDAL NOT FEI, who FELL

  • @96horseluvr agreed!

  • i still don't understand how gravity allows any of this

  • Who got gold and silver here??

  • Alicia deserved silver, not bronze. Cheng Fei still deserved the bronze. That's because Chusovitina don't deserved any medal, anyway. Her vaults had a higher SV, but her Execution is awfull. I really don't care if her son was sick - that's the reason she got silver, by the way. Like in "Stick it", the sport doesn't call "gymNICEtics". It's all about streight, powefull, grace and perfection. Not about one woman than still compete just for have some money.

  • @MadeleinePhillips666 That was honestly the rudest thing you could say about Chuso. Her vaults had better landings than Alicia, her preflight is better, but her form in the air is worse. That's not the reason she medalled, it was because she was better. That's pathetic, using Stick It as a guide to gymnastics. You might as well believe what Elfie says. It's about strenght vault. Did you know Chusovitina has the full twisting double lay out on floor named after her? That's harder than A-Sac's DA

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 And the age is NOT a good excuse. Henrietta Onodi won a gold medal almost..."very old" to do gymnastics. And made a great move on flor and beam. You have your opinion about Oksana, and I have mine. Oh, how I know about what the judges said? Simple: my friend was there in every singe finals (men and women). He is journalist, just like me. He said to me, because he know how I really love Artistic Gymnastic.

  • @MadeleinePhillips666 First; Onodi did not invent the Onodi move. It was first performed by Mostepanova a long time before Onodi herself. Second, Chuso diserves bronze, Fei deserves at the best 4th place. She fell on her vault however good her Amanar is. Alicia had perfect form on her two fauls, and good landinds, yes she had two hops but it's still beter than a step sideways. She should have won silver. And please, Chuso's son has nothing to do with this. Blame on the CoP

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 Yeah sweetie, I know than FTDL has Chuso's name, because she did first in Barcelona - 1992. But I know too than some judges said, in 2008, what I'm saiyng right here: Chusovitina didn't deserve a medal at all. I don't say she's a awfull gymnast. No! She's amazing on floor, her Beam was awesome between 2006-2009. If you watch her vaults now, in 2011, her leg forms is soooooo much better than 2007-2008. So, why her legs in 2008 is so scary and ugly?! She can does better.

  • @MadeleinePhillips666 Okay honey!

  • Wow the chinese rigged it so bad

  • SHE WAS ROBBED!!!!!!!

  • urrrg I HATE THE NEW SCORING SYSTEM!!! SO GLAD ASAC GOT GOLD AT WORLDS ON VAULT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • She did deserve a MEDALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • even bela karolyi said she desevered the bronze, i think thats saying something

  • @ellovestumbling332 Of course Bela said that, he wants the USA to win more medals

  • i think Alicia should start doing amanar's

  • @shawndell14111 me too! she was actually supposed to do one there. she had been training for it the previous day (and weeks really) but then didnt do it in the competition :(

  • @dannyradar ohhhh nicee :D am glad to here that........i hope she unvails it at world nex week :)

  • i think they should audit the judges by havinbg a secondary panel for each peice and compare the two panels before releasing the score as some of these girls not only here but in several other peices were misjudged. Theres a lot of bias and error and FIG need to work on this, i am a former gymnast for the UK.

  • Nobody should win a final with a fall.

  • @PoorPublicSchoolKid Cheng Fei won the bronze, not the gold.

  • how does a gymnast who steps out of bounds twice and a gymnast who falls on her knees beat alicia?? yeah i understand the whole starting value thing, but it still doesnt seem fair

  • no matter what you think, you youtubers can't change a thing

  • Sacramone had 2 hops on her opening vault, and was slightly piked off the horse. Cheng had 1 hop, and .2 higher start value, this is why Chengs 1st vault has a score about .325 higher than Sacramone. On the second vault, Sacramone has one large hop and Cheng has a fall and a small deduction in the preflight. If you say the preflight and the hop cancel out then Sacramone was a 1.0 better. Now subtract the .7 difference in start value and it doesn't make up for Cheng's better 1st vault.

  • @matthewxcountry Cheng had a lot more problems on the sec...she misplaced her hands, legs partly crossed, legs partly bent, and then the fall. On the first one she landed partly over the line...even though that was a great landing their is a deduction there. I'm sure they didn't read to much into this because it was home field....it happens every year no matter where you go.

  • @matthewxcountry I only see a slight hop on the first vault.

  • @matthewxcountry It's not just about the landing.

  • the first vault was beautiful

  • I can't remember where I heard this but she was supposedly training a handspring double twist. It would've be a higher start value than a Rudi or Amanar.

  • who won this yr???????????

  • That would be correct. Sandra Izbasa of Romania did.

  • i understand

  • Comment removed

  • although cheng fei's vault did have more difficulty she still fell alicia's second vault had less difficulty then her first the scores are are based on execution and difficulty cheng fei had more difficulty than execution in last vault alicia had a small hop on her landing. whats done is done. although in my opinion i felt that alicia deserve a bronze

  • if difficulty is taken into account why didn't Diaine Dos Santos take home the gold on floor exercise?

  • I think Daiane Dos Santos had an start value of 6.4, like Shawn Johnson. Sandra Izbasa had a start value of 6.5 and Cheng Fei's was 6.6.

  • @JohnPhilipSousa519 Hi, Shawn Johnson had a start value of 6.6 but during Beijing the A-panel kept taking away her switch-ring leap and her side 1.5 jump.

  • @ChainChomp2 is that what was happening?? what else was she underscored on durning the olympics because it seemed like in interviews after the olympics shawn kept kind of hinting that she wasn't happy with the scores she was given at the olympics. I didn't know what was happening, but in the end was happy for both her and nastia.

  • @lindseylee77 Yes even the NBC Commentators were saying that Shawn was not getting the difficulty score that she starts at, in prelims she got a 6.3, team finals I think a 6.2, all-around finals believe a 6.3, and in event finals a 6.4.

In fact during prelims they took 0.1 off her bars start, 0.1 off her beam start as well

  • And YOU also need to realize that Cheng Fei fucked up during the team competiton as well, and had a gold around her neck. You clearly have something against Alicia. If you dont like her, then get the fuck off her videos.

  • tat is the TEAM competition! she has team mates to help her!

  • I love Cheng Fei, but this is the fucking OLYMPICS. I dont care about difficulty; if you fall like she did, you shouldn't have an olympic medal around your neck. Alicia should of gotten bronze.

  • yeah! i felt that Cheng Fei ddnt deserve that bronze!!

  • I'm a bit torn about this final.Cheng Fei is my favorite gymnast of this age, and Alicia Sacramone is probably my 2nd favorite. I wanted Cheng Fei to win quite badly, and Sacramone to win a medal.

I think that for these two vaults, Alicia did deserve a medal, even though the scores gave them to Cheng Fei. The only way I would want it to go down would be a tie for bronze.

  • well... u do have a point. she could have easily upgraded the DTY and she should have. it's dissapointing, however, that a great vault such as the double twisting yurchenko is so low in value now. the innovation in the sport is a bit extreme. yes a 2 1/2 is more difficult but really, why devalue a double so heavily? a DTY was the golden ticket back in 2000 and even up to Athens. I think she was kinda underscored on her first vault. it was pretty remarkable.

  • she isnt given enuf credit for what gives her vaults such incredible power. her arms dont even budge. she has flat hips in the air, great distance and height. she really is a remarkable vaulter

  • I wasn't blaming the judges. it's the scoring system

  • You're absolutely right. That's why I think FIG has themselves so fucked up with the new code. Nastia advanced due to her start value... cheng fei medaled due to her start value. even tho alicia had beautiful execution, it still wouldnt be enough for her to medal. after all, international gymnastics is all about going for huge skills now. theres no such thing as quality. very dissapointing.

  • I think the code has improved this year with the higher deduction for fall and more emphasis on dance elements but still has the open ended scoring system. I think it evens out the difficulty and execution scores a bit.

  • I can not believe she got fourth with that csil with th

  • she got robbed

  • she did get robbed

  • You really should 2.5 that Yurchenko -_-

  • Comment removed

  • she means that its springy

and so they get extra height off the horse if they punch off from the right place

  • alicia's vault was amazin and i dont kno y cheng fei scored higher...what bull crap and her 1st vault was perfecto!!!

  • i also think it was perfect the nerve of the chinese judges! She did pike tho and she did hop a little :(

  • Because Cheng Fei had higher difficulty and an almost perfect first vault.

  • she arrived 4 ... i think?

  • NBC kept stressing on that second hop on the first vault, anyone think that's deductible? Maybe she was really happy, that vault looked just as good as her prelims vault which got 15.850. The second vault was nice but it almost looked like she could stick it, she has the chest line so I guess she was rushing through it, that hop was maybe a 0.3 hop.

  • i see where you're coming from but so long as she adjusts her chest to the upright position with legs together and in line on the landing, I can't see taking away more than 0.1... and lets be honest. her form on the table and in the air is absolutely remarkable.

  • poor alicia-falls at team finals and 4th place here-so close yet so far,if she hadn't fallen around the time of trials in 2004, she would have made the team and well...things would have been different im sure x

  • that was still an amazing vault,so much height, good job alicia!

  • both stuck, good height on both, and both had a decent sv, she should have taken it!

  • Robbed. This was a great vault. The fact that Cheng Fei fell and still was victorious over Sacramone is a disgrace. In the new scoring system, it's as if execution no longer matters.

  • Alicia lost a medal because she has had the same vaults for the past 5+ years... the rest of the world upgraded and she took it easy KNOWING about the code of points.

  • I understand that totally, but even though the other gymnasts upgraded, I still think falls should not deserve medals and execution should have a little more of a bearing.

  • couldn't agree with you more. it's like nailing a DTY will get you nowhere when you can attempt a handspring double front, for example and land on your face. as long as you are attempting a more difficult skill, it doesn't matter how well you execute. HAAAAAAAAA what a great message being sent by international gymnastics. it's like theyre encouraging injuries. terrible

  • yeah I agree. Earlier before the Olympics I predicted we'd see a gymnast fall in event finals and still medal. They are taking quality out of the sport and forcing it to go in a direction could be very dangerous. It's a shame. FIG needs to wake up.

  • SacramonEEEEE. With the "E."

Sorry, the way to commentator was pronoucning her name drove me nuts ;P

But I agree, I love Cheng Fei, but truly Alicia did deserve the bronze.

  • you do realize that the british don't sound like us americans do, right?

even names aren't always the same. go listen to a russian pronounce the name of a russian gymnast - it's completely different.

  • I wasn't stated anything against the way the British pronounce their words. I was just saying that the way he pronounces Sacramone really annoys me. I'm sure that Russians get annoyed too.

  • I love Cheng, but Alicia deserved the bronze

  • Alicia was robbed! At least tied for bronze!

  • @nikirififo no she didn't Cheng had 2 more difficult vault, and overall is a better vaulter than Alicia, which was proven many times in all sorts of competition. If Alicia had tried to do the vault that Cheng did she would have fallen in both of them.

  • @Holycani Ok, that's your opinion, and I've got mine.

  • @nikirififo I love Cheng too-and I agree Alicia who was never really a fave of mine (until THIS year!:) should have won the bronze.

  • @faeryquene It's easy to see that judges gave some tenths to her, and that Code helped in these situations. I think it's just not fair, their dificulty is "kinda" close, one falls and take the bronze, while the one that hit and goes home with empty hands, and the worst, after that F*** up in team finals.

  • She did pretty well, but could have done better. She tried her best, and the fall on the beam (which probably did give the gold to china) was unfortunate. But there's nothing you can do about it now.
