just wondering, it laid down on the river bed, but the last photo it is laying in the bush with tree's can't be the same one, or is it, looks bigger in the still photo and deferent terrain. Or maybe marketing
@1slug2 HAVING a gun doesn't. USING a gun on for anything but saving your life, does. I have a gun in case someone tries to hurt my family. And if I needed to eat it, I'd shoot that moose, but not for fun.
@brohoop who ever said it was just for fun? yeah sure part of it is for fun...its also about the challenge, the effort you put into your hunt and the reward you get at the end...I can pretty much guarantee you that they kept all the meat and the antlers...there is minimum waste and the rest, the wolves or coyotes prob ate it...I hope your vegetarian, because if not...going to the supermarket and getting chicken or steaks is a lot more cowardly then shooting your own food..poor little chickens...
When you kill a moose and go close to him look his eyes if the eyes is open hes dead if its closen you better shoot it in head cause hes just stunned that happened to me first time i killed one it scared the shit out of me hehe :P
@sebasinfire Actually a better thing to do, is if you come close to any game you kill, not birds ect. Anything about the same size as you(: take a stick or then end of your gun, and just poke the eye ball. If it blinks which is a natural reaction to every single animal on the planet, shoot it fast. Always have a bullet chambered when aproaching an animal. Even if it's a headshot. From an experience with a Grizzly bear that I blew half the head off. And I went to it and it got up. Thank god .12SH
a lot of times they dont know what wrong They hear a shot, feel a punch then stand around trying to figure what happen. The moose bleeds out and as you seen lays down and thats the end of it
@emmetouch an animal that big has alot of blood so it takes a little longer for it to bleed out unless you manage to get it right in the heart it will take a while
Good shot, great to see that you were smart enough to know that he was well hit and you did not fill him with lead because he was still standing! save the lead flinging for the range. CONGRATS!
i would of put two shots into the moose so it doesnt have to suffer

How did the moose get from the edge of the river to the forest where it is photographed? Why not take the photo where it was origionally taken!
jmarti341984 2 years ago
@jmarti341984 Yes, in my experience when it lays down by folding its legs under himself he is not dead - hit hard but has life left in him.
almasi72 1 year ago
can anyone explain why it took him so long to drop? I'm not a hunter so excuse my not knowing
