Depends on what you call fast. I see allot of Porsche Turbos every day and I know some personally. High HP numbers are only for Kids. On legal roads, fast cars start with 300hp. With some of the newer cars like the TT RS or a cayman S, you can have lots of fun too and don't have to be rich and you won't shake them of with a Supercar. You can even get a used one year old R8 V8 for 60k €. You see... you don't need to be rich.

I know how much it costs to bring an RB26DETT up to these power levels, its been done a lot in NZ, and the costs are phenomenal. the 30DE i'm building is costing nearly 8k for a block, head and ITB's and wont push more than 230rwhp, again, for reliabilitys sake. And lets see race motors last 5 years, no rebuild

something got to be way off, no car can do 0-300kmh in 12 second on the real road. On a drag strip with slicks some car might be able to do that, but definitely not on the street with street tires. this car will at most do 0-300 in 16-17 second in the real world.

@304teddy Actually a lot of the time brakes lock up because of the amount of friction between the pads and the disc, not the tyre's grip. Hence why you can put large discs, huge calipers, and good brake pads, and stop better, with the same tyres. This doesn't include 'really' shit tyres. and stopping in the wet of course.

I've owned 2 skylines now, an R32 GTS25 and my current HR30 GT, and while theyre nothing compared to their GT-R/RS-X Turbo equivelants, that same rawness is still there, just you, the car and the minimum of needless shit, hence why EVERY skyline has potential, not to mention motor swaps are childs play... everything fits.

@wcub4 Youre completely right, Only kids think that there is no faster thing than Veyron,Ferraris,Lambos etc. You can rebuild a Skyline in billons of different ways, Other bodykits,Turbos, engine displacements (RB27,RB28,RB30 etc), pistons,rods,interior parts the list is endless especially the engine you can do alot to that engine and it wont fail you only need a well built engine with around 500-700hp to beat any common sportscar.
