im geting sick and tired of the public saying "its the end of the world" everytime they hear about tornadoes in pennslyvania or the southeastern gulf states like Alabama!!! tornadoes have always been common in pennslyvania and the southeastern gulf states!! the 1974 super outbreak produced dozens of twisters in pennslyvania and hundreds more in Alabama! people has to learn that twisters ARE NOT A GREAT PLAINS THING!! @OTH3R6 im just saying the flat areas of western and central Pennslyvania are not strangers to tornadoes like it's mountainus and eastern costal areas are.

In Arkansas, i rarely hear of tornadoes hitting the mountians (especially in the Fayetteville-Bentonville-Roger­s-Springdale area) yet it still happens it's just not as often as it does in the flat areas of central arkansas like Beebe, Cabot, Lonoke, Vilonia, Benton and Eastern Little Rock.

@OTH3R6 for example i agree with people that say a tornado in philly or in the appalicahian mountains of pennslyvania is rare yet it is so stupid and retarded if people think that tornadoes in mercer county, PA are rare beacuse it is a flat land area with no highrise skyscrapers next door to Hoosier Alley (Ohio).

Why do you act so suprised???? Pennslyvania IS NOT ALASKA, HAWAII, OREGON OR THE NORTH POLE!!!! Tornadoes are NOT bothered at all by the Pennslyvania border. Pennslyvania IS NOT EXEMPT FROM TWISTERS!!! Plus Tornadoes are all too common in the western and central half of pennslyvania. Moving to PA WILL NOT PROTECT YOU FROM TORNADO FREQUENCY!
