  • can you make this video in English please?

  • Let us not forget that there is also "negative utilitarianism", which holds that the moral action is the one which causes the least amount of pain ( I don't support any type of utilitarianism).

  • Rule utilitarianism is better.

I still love Bentham though, the picture in your video of his corpse is my last.fm avatar actually

  • I wish my philosophy professors had used your brand of visual aids. I never had a moment in their classes where I thought "Eureka! I understand it now!"

  • I barely understand what he is saying.. You need a better microphone

  • Everything we do is mental and psychological.

  • Rule Utilitarianism-

These two categories are silly. How are Poetry and Opera higher stages of the mind than eating and sex? What do people crave more of qualitatively? SEX and EATING right? But no wait thats pleasures of the body. Pleasures of the body produce DOPAMINE! Usually MUCH higher than "Poetry and Opera."

  • great visuals

  • Forgot to mention strong and weak rule, and also based on experiences in the past and consequence based =)) Good video otherwise

  • thankyou, you have helped me alot

    legend!

  • this is fantastic! thanksss

  • Great Video. Loved the visual description.

(Small comment: I don't think that Rule-Utilitarianism was founded by Mill... generally, Berkeley is considered the first rule-consequentialist.)

  • Jon, are we having a "who-can-do-the-stupidest-voice-at-the-end" war ?

  • yes, we are

  • bloody good video and sounding sexy as always

  • Geek Squad :)
