  • lul at the granpda in the front: Yo guys someone's knocking go open the door.

  • Really futuristic

  • @ 00:31 Jacky chan??

  • @mikenike751 bahahahahah

  • there has just been an earthquake stay calm.lady i would be panicing as much as they are

  • Scary !

  • 1 guy thinks that this is fake

  • @unscrup123 George Bush maybe?

  • FuuuuuuUCK HIGH RISES...THATS WHY I NEVER SET FOOT IN THEM!!!

  • @rextar23 I would rather be in this building in an earthquake, as it was designed to handle even large ones

  • that would be a fucking nightmare..

  • did someone understand the whole english announcement?

  • @TheSezilia What I got was: "There has just been an earthquake, stay calm. Keep away from windows, and take refuge under a table. Or ??? and ???. Immediately stop any use of water. If you are in an elevator, get off on the nearest floor."

  • @MayorCallaghan or stand next to a beam

  • Old man ftw .......

  • Que tal educacion para los terremotos todos en calma una tranquilidad unica los felicito

  • Of course they have to start the announcement with the explanation what happened... After 9/11 any building shaking could be the reason for the great fear. I loved the announcement that had been obviously wisely prepared for the situations like this.

  • @Bernadine71 good point

  • "there has just been an earthquake"... NO, it was LeBron slaming into buildings!

  • 0:22 "There has just been an earthquake, stay calm, keep away from windows.. and blah blah blah"

  • the old guy is like 'another one eh...'

  • It's simply amazing how these people stayed pretty calm and knew what they were supposed to do when the earthquake struck. In any other country people would run around, screaming and crying and even possibly jump thru windows.

  • looks fun :)

  • I was going there that day! I stopped at my hotel a little, so I was only on the 17th floor during all this. I always wondered what it would've been like on the 52nd!

  • excelente reaccion de los japoneses,, ami me toco un sismo en mexico df, y asi es como se debe reaccionar

  • The "There has just been an earthquake" announcement reminds me of The Fifth Element or something.

  • the recording @ 0:20 "there has just been an earthquake" NO SHIT SHERLOCK!!!!!!

  • 1:22 Stay and stampede?

  • @yournameiswrong Unless you meant your comment in a funny way, I think the voice says: '...under a table or stay next to a beam' advising to search for a part of the structure that is very unlikely to collapse or in any way cause damage to persons.

  • like the building says: rooaar stay in me and you are safe!!

  • Why do they make you get down like that. Will that give you a better chance of survival if the floor gives way and you plummet 52 stories?

  • @westy44cal I think it's more that the japanese will feel sorry if you would fall because of the earthquake: besides, I wouldn't be surprised if you could get pretty sea-sick in a tower like that, due to the swaying motion: If your standing, that effect is probably greater than when sitting down.

  • @westy44cal no but its easier than standing! lol

  • Those sounds are so terrifying.....

  • That Mori building is shit-hot. Probably the safest building in Japan (though it won't have felt like it at the time...)

  • It must be scary living in a country where they have a programmed voice announcement for earthquakes because they happen so often!

  • @IloveyouLenaKatina i was just thinking the same thing

  • LoL the speakers said keep away from windows but there are like windows everywhere

  • You have to admire the Japanese people. They are extremely calm and collective during natural disasters.

  • That english announcement makes americans panic.

  • Lol there has just been a earth qauke..... NO SHIT!!

  • @atom608 That's exactly what I was thinking. xD

  • @atom608 How do you think they should open the emergency instructions announcement, "Good afternoon, shoppers"?

  • @syounantube LOL!! I guess atom608 thought so....hahahahaaa

  • @M424Filmcast I heard people laughing and smiling during the quake, guess it's just another interesting and amazing quake in japan, it feels like you're riding a big swing safely cuz building in japan usually dont collapse during the quake.

  • @PeacockStone Yeah. I've been through some good ones. The biggest was a 7.2, but that was in California. I was only in a 3 storey hotel, but it was rocking really good. :)

After it ended, it was kinda like in this video, everyone smiling and talking about the ride we all just took. Funny...

I saw some of the vids of the quakes iin New York, and those people panicked over less than a 6.0, but I guess they aren't very used to it. LOL

  • @M424Filmcast Lol yeah Im from oklahoma, and we had the 5.6 a few weeks ago and it freaked us out lol.. my dad grew up in cali so he is used to em

  • @NyanReccho Haha...yeah, I guess if you're not used to them they can do that to you. In Cali it takes more than a 5.0 just to get our attention. hahaha

  • This is so fuck, i went to Japan 2 weeks after the tsunami, we had to cancel the trip to Tokyo due to the aftershocks n nuclear leak, and ended up in Osaka and Kyoto. I burnt another ticket to Tokyo this october cuz noone is going with me. I plan to go Tokyo next year but its still uncertain cuz theres still quakes in northeastern part.I know Its relatively safe if hit by quake in Japan, but i want to keep the record of not experiencing any in my entire life!! im so indecisive of the next trip!

  • @PeacockStone cool story bro

  • @M424Filmcast tell me about it, i live in baltimore, having never felt an earthquake, i pretty much shit myself, grabbed my back up hard drive and ipad and ran out. the psychological fear of my house collapsing (remember, this is a house made out of brick, steel and wood we're talking about here, the last on the engineer's mind when they designed this house was an earthquake) is what did it for me. Scared shitless.

  • @atom608 well, many tourists come there who never experienced such a thing, they have no idea what's going on.

  • Sugoi kowai desu!! It must have been crazy up there! I was in Shin-okubo near Shinjuku when it happened and all my furniture was moving so I had to old my microwave and toaster-stove but my TV fell... Terrible yet amazing natural event. I was glad to be in Japan at that time. がんばて日本!

  • "There has just been an earthquake" lmao. i think that every one noticed that by that time ;)

  • Japanese people are so cool, educated and stedy, but gringos are not, they scream like crazys, Lol!!!! Any way, i'm not a mexican and chican guy, i'm american, but say gringo is LOL for me! :)

  • I would not have used an elevator in that quake. Are those people waiting to get on the elevator? Or is that just the safe area? I would have used the stairs and ran as fast as I could.

  • @itsjustme2919 running down the stairs during an earthquake is probably not a good idea lol ud probably get knocked off balance and eat it

  • @itsjustme2919 Climbing down 52 flights of stairs with the likely risk of repeated strong aftershocks doesn't really seem like a better option. Also, the desc above states they waiting 1 1/2 hours for an elevator. I'm sure the Japanese know how to check elevators for safety.

  • This is scary but the computer voice is kinda lol: Warning there has just been an earthquake :/

  • YOu can really see how much it's moving when you aim up at that curtain...I would have been freaking.

  • HCS

  • I'm impressed in this and other videos from Japanese skyscrapers how well and promptly the public address system works!

  • Omg theyre soo calm, in any oter country theyd all be like AHHHHH OMFG WTF WE GONNA DO TEH BUILDINGS GONNA FALL OH NOESSSS D; D; D;

  • omg i still remember the fear of that quake T_____T lol i just came back from school with an injured leg when the quake occured X_X I'm glad you're safe

  • Amazing Japanese engineering

  • "That has just been an earthquake.. stay calm!"

    nice.

  • Damn this is scary... Especially the bangs you hear sent chills down my spine...

Aren't elevators equipped with security mechanism's that automatically stop it at the nearest floor and open the doors?

  • There has just been an earthquake....lol.... nobody would have noticed, if she had not told them.....XD

But I love the Japanese people and their discipline! There are so many people who could learn a lesson from them... Thumbs up!

  • wow i thought i had it bad yesterday in md!

  • thank god we sold you all the good steel from the usa

  • @sertox12345 Nope, they produce their own. They are considering sourcing from Korea as well.

  • @sertox12345 I've just had a look at Japan's export market and they actually supply steel to USA and apparently it's crippling your own steel industry. The quality is the same but they are undercutting prices and even suspected of selling at a loss by some US manufacturers.

  • @CelticProgeny YEAH everybody is selling things to USA at loss and still making profit.

  • id be like shut thing off i know their has been an earthquake i would start riot just for that

  • Here in California we dont shit our pants. People here get over-intrigued by it though.

  • i dont care if it was 3stories!! or how well they build it :/ after watching 9/11 buildings fall i would have been outta ther

  • @THENAMEISTRINA building usually fall when the government blows them up.

  • lol, japanese ppl are relaxed while the americans shits in their pants..

  • KML 0:23 "There has just been an earthquake"

  • Oh ma gosh that'll be the scariest EVER!!!!

  • too bad the movement cant be perceived in the video, thay are like so relaxed, they are really used to quakes

  • Been in the Mori Tower and it has a sway as it is. Can't imagine what this was like. Additionally I was in the hospital in Kawasaki on the 7th fl. when a 6+ hit and we thought the bldg. was going down. Scariest thing ever because you are expecting to die.

  • "There has just been an earthquake..." REALLY? I DIDN'T NOTICE.

  • ...I would have freaked

  • That old man wearing brown jacket is my hero :D

  • @ParsiKade - Yea...I was there. Japanese people, especially the older people...are tough! No fear,

  • @ParsiKade i know right!!!! hes just standing there all calm....LIKE A BOSS

  • @ParsiKade i know , he's so chill....probably lived through tons of them

  • Oh god... Mori Tower is not a cool place to experience your first earthquake.

Even when still is scary to look out the windows...

  • I commend Japanese engineers for having one of the strictest building codes in the world. But I don't care how good any man-made building is made nothing can triumph the force of mother nature. Had this quake occured any closer or under Tokyo I don't think many of your buildings would be standing. I know here in L.A. we are no way near prepared for the BIG ONE. So Japan I salute you!!!

  • Titanium La Portada is much better than Roppongi Hills and more efficient when there is an earthquake.

  • @bburago9 dont underestimate japanese engineering :)

  • Japanese buildings are so great. For them, its like: "Oh, another earthquake, yawn." In the US, it would be like "OH my god, the building is upside down!"

  • @RYANAT3R101 My building in L.A. is earthquake proof. Doesn't mean I wouldn't get the hell out of here in a second.

  • @kaijinseng could i just say something if there is an earthquake you stay inside unless the place is falling apart

  • @RYANAT3R101

:S what we gona do i dont know when earthquake happen in turkey-istanbul

most of the building are old city is so crowded traffic is always at its peak... worst of all people have not got the knowledge what to do in a situation like this

  • @RYANAT3R101 u know it wasn't like that japan had not had an earthquake that big for hundreds of years, i was in it and all i could do was hide under a small table with my fiends and cry.

  • @RYANAT3R101 Or they are like:

yay, earthquake, it's going to be fun again xD ...

except for the one that made a huge tsunami ..

  • @RYANAT3R101 The sky scrapers in the usa are built just as well as the japans

  • @RYANAT3R101 no the in the US they think a plane hit the building

  • such a scary moment, but such a efficient are the japaneses buildings.

  • I would have shit myself up there.

  • wow that must have been scary

  • @mewtwored4 it was

    i was in that earthquake
