GGPO and 2DF, what are those? I own PS3 and Wii but I definitely should invest in a 360 since the exclusives rock. But damn, are they ever unreliable.
I prefer Rock Howard, Hotarus, this theme, and Dong Hwans by miles. They seem alot more memorable but to each their own. And they do have online play this game by the way...if you have an Xbox you can download it off on Arcade. (I play Dong Hwan and Jae Hoon, really fun playing as them.)

I played a little bit on GGPO. Got owned, haha. I'm not very good at this game. Can't get SFIII to work on GGPO though. Kinda sucks cuz I never got to play that one.
You should try King of Fighters or Fatal Fury. Fatal Fury don't take much time to master. It don't matter if you ain't that good lol. There are plenty of beginners that play it.
Garou, I would suggest using Terry, Freeman, and B. Jenet.

I got the arcade emulated version... just use "Kaillera Client" server program which lets you play any emulated game in the world online, as long it is 2 players or more, it has a lobby section too and a game selector and chat with others to invite or start with etc.........
Emulation is the way..... I have every single arcade game available and I am talking thousands all hooked up to my 120" projector.... set up on my PSP too... Yeah!
I actually read somewhere that that was the result of a mistranslation in the game, and that Kim having lost to Freeman is non-cannonical... though I personally feel it's a better plot device. Still Dong says nothing about revenge when he beats Freeman, and Kim shows up perfectly healthy in one of Dong's final win poses.
It's better than its AST version, IMO.

They do, online theres online play through emulation on GGPO and 2DF. Not to mention this game recently being released for Xbox Live Arcade

They're PC matchmaking systems for emulator netplay. You can play against people online as long as you have the roms.

I wouldn't recommend the 360 for online play with this game. Hardly anyone plays it. GGPO is the way to go for online play.
