I have a friend who through an article has introduced me to the practice of dying embryos so that the chicks hatch different colours (the dye is gone with the chicks first moult).
This toy chick looks like it would make a better alternative to a live chicken, especially since she roommates in an apartment. (toy can be sent through USPS, live egg wouldn't survive the bio-screening). Anyone have any idea how to dye the toy without ruining it, or without having to totally replacing the fluff?
