Looks like NASA designed this machine for the space station. I thought the $400.00 machines were too expensive & some even sharpen convex hair shears. I'm sure it's a pleasure to operate but what else does it do that justifies 4x's the cost of the now "cheaper" machines.. Probably not much, but hey if you got the money and want one go for it and if you live in the SF bay area.lets run a comparison with my homemade set up, I'd like to be proven wrong and I'll post my misjudgement right here.
