you should add a fuel gauge instrument to your bike they are fairly cheap on ebay, customize your clocks set up to look like a cbr clocks set-up, it will look the dogs bollox
I have an older 250r as well ( you probably don't have it now). When you rode/ride did it feel like the shifting was loud? Whenever I shift from first through third I get a loud clunk as it goes into gear. Is that normal?
oh yeah thanks for the advice about the trip meter, i bought a new 250 a recently and wouldnt have thought twice about pushing while i was riding if it wasnt for your vids
its the best first bike. great handling, plenty quick, fast enough to kill u but tops out a little over 100 so its not as likely to kill u. great gas mileage, looks really cool, fun to ride. im an experienced rider and i currently own a ninja 250, i like it better than bigger bikes. check out my videos
the sidestand is actually more stable, i usually park my bike in gear and then give it a little push foreward so that it cant roll foreward and fall over, and how can ppl not know how to use the centerstand???????????????????????????

I don't remember a huge clunk noise, but I think it did that to some extent.

Nice videos.
Any one know the answer to these theoretical questions?
1. How many miles/Km can you get out of a full tank before switching to reserve?
2. What happens if you leave the fuel tap on reserve constantly?
3. When you fill the tank, does the reserve fill automatically?
4. What happens if you press the trip meter button while the ninja is moving?
Thanks.

1. I would say about 150miles, but youll feel the bike jerk and sputter so youll know if you need to switch to reserve
2. It runs on reserve, if u run out u run out
3. Its all in 1tank, from full to reserve is just a part of the full tank, if u switch it to reserve it burns all of the gas
4. way past me
hope that helps!!

Cheers for that. It's really appreciated. I guess I'll fill up approx every 100 k to be extra cautious and avoid reserve.
Since the video said 'don't press that button during a journey,' it looks so tempting to do!
Thanks again.

4. It broke my trip meter. It's stuck at 444 and sometimes rolls up to 555, then goes back to 444 when I press the reset button really hard.
sfninja 4 years ago
I see. I shall avoid pressing the button despite the temptation.
Thanks for the videos. They are very helpful, particularly for new riders like myself.

Your video heading is misleading.

I have a 1989 ninja 250 and it takes two different keys, one for the ignition and one for the gas tank

Do you just have to eyeball fillin up the gas? Or can you do like a car and it has an auto kick off thing?

bananabis420 4 years ago
I usually run around 7k to 10k rpms to stay in the sweet spot. 10k to 13k for extra pull on freeways.

hey whats the tankbag for?
jreed8721 4 years ago
It's like a trunk for your car. There's no place on the bike to store anything larger than the manual.
