One of the grandest, gravest ragas. Apart from the songs mentioned here,O duniya ke rakhwale (Mohd. Rafi) is a good example of it in HFM.

Probably the best raaga in the universe! It is unfortunate there aren't many Carnatic songs with this raaga.

i love: maadu mekkum kanne ( of aruna sairam), a similar version of maarugo maarug(sathi leelavathy), kalyaana thenila(mounam sammadham).
