Not the scriptures, just those who follow. I feel that if you kneel down and pray to a God, it separates you from that God because most people just ask for things like happiness and wealth. But through what I've experienced myself, meditation is a direct link to recreate a bond with God or with all life in existence at one moment. There is much to learn from the scriptures. Those ten commandments are dealing with the most simplest problems in life that can be easily avoided and changed. They don't deal with the complex problems which are the most serious and the ten command. are not even all that moral. Truthfully speaking.

@SEK4110 The ten commandments are a set of rules made up by a primitive tribe of people. Some of them make sense, some do not. Fortunately we have outgrown them and our laws are based on fairness and compassion rather than arbitrary rules made up by desert nomads thousands of years ago.

Oprah asked Esther an honest, question. Esther gave an answer 2 that question. I took your suggestion & listened 2 that full segment. U cut off your clip right after Esther makes a comment, but right before She explains herself & then answers Oprah's question. Like I said, your position may be right, but your way of going about proving it endorses selective reporting. I think you'd be taken more seriously if u acknowledged that. U can make anyone sound how u want them 2 sound w proper editing.

It makes Christians look confident & intelligent when they can present all of the info & allow others to think critically for themselves. It makes Christians look insecure & dishonest when they present a one-sided view of something & then jump all over it. Do Christians like it when critics qoute isolated bible verses in order to attack their faith? Well, do unto others as u would have them do unto u. You don't have to agree with others, but at least argue fairly. It's the only respectful way.

All Oprah did here was acknowledge that there are conflicts in Christian teachings. Anyone, Christian or otherwise can admit that. Therefore, the title of this clip is inaccurate and inappropriate!

Your example of Paul's conversion is different. Paul came to know Christ, but he did not go back into false religion AFTER having known Him & trash Him as Oprah has.
You can of course believe what you want, but the Bible says differently. Oprah has been a Christian, she KNOWS what Christianity about. She chooses to believe in New Age. She said this her life purpose to lead people to believe what she does.
Too many "Christians" today are so much "nicer" than God. I go by His Book, the Bible.
