what people seem to forget is this film is meant to represent a modern version of the grid meaning better modern Lightcycles. i.e. New ones can pass through their own and their teams trails, and can ram each other. Old ones so fagile if it ran other a pea it would shatter and u woulld die

@C4welcomesu Also, they forget that the server in Legacy IS NOT the same server that was in the first Tron film - the server in the first film was the ENCOM 511; the one in Legacy is a secret, private server that Kevin Flynn had in the basement of his arcade - and it wasn't connected to ENCOM or the internet.

Hiya guys! For those of you who are confused on parts of this clip i has the answers.

One question i heard was: "If lightcycles generate their light trails on start up. why doesnt that aply here?!"

The reason is simple. Light cycles have to go at a cartain speed in order to generate their light trails.
