What were the alarms about?

I saw the S-IVB apparently do a LOX dump after separation. Was that the velocity reduction maneuver done starting with Apollo 13 to redirect the S-IVB to impact on the moon?

@Evilfisher I can say the same thing! In one way, this simulator opened for me the way to space exploration and teached me a lot about orbital flights reentry, etc...

Whenever I watch moon mission related materials I have to admire not only the astronauts' courage but also the ingenuity and effort put into the mission by the engineers and scientists. Just imagine coming up with a mission like that, in time our cell phones would be considered super computers!

The rocket sound you hear is from the saturn 5 but is not ths sound produced by the S-IVB or the CSM or the LEM. Its the sound of the solid rocket first stage which should have crashed somewhere in the sea.

@dcb1138 Only the sound of main engine burning is added by me in this simulation (real F-1 sound). The other sounds are a part of AMSO Saturn-5 add-on pack. I think they are also real. Yes, i like this sounds also :)

@IngoGallacher - Some of the Apollo Astronauts have talked/written about the sound of the Saturn before blast off...hearing the fuel pumps come to life before ignition and the fuel rushing in the lines. I've never heard anything about the sounds inside the CM during flight. This sim in eye opening to what it must have sounded like.

All the orbital data of moon orbit are known. You must do the launch in the right moment, align your orbital plane with orbital plane of moon then with other instrument (transfer MFD) you can do the right transfer orbit to the moon.

Look in "Tutorials" folder in Orbiter, there you will find a mission called "Lunar transfer" It's a complete mission to Moon with Delta glider vessel, You can learn from there all the steps ;)

I was just wondering why you didn't had a target at the docking software when you docked?

Hello, I used the docking software just to transfer the docking target to the hud. It was just a fast manual docking without using all the function of that software docking window.
