I'm glad you made a video 'cause I completely forgot about you. I was wanting a digital portait tutorial/process video and I forgot about your painting faces videos.
I know you don't normally keep your line art for the finished piece, but if you did on something that had perspective.. would you make the line weight thinner the further it is from the 'camera', to show distance. Or make the closer lines thinner, because if something's close you can see more detail?
I was just thinking about your videos yesterday, while drawing thumbnails. I always enjoy these, they make me more enthusiastic drawing and making stuff.
@TheCastaway15 I don't know about advice, but I can at least say it's completely normal. It takes everyone awhile to mentally adjust to using a tablet. Just do regular sketching exercises and start filling pages as if you had a digital sketchbook.
@TheCastaway15 im exactly the same but ive got to the point now after a few months of owning a wacom bamboo tablet ive overcome that first stage. I too have a background in art and it take s lots of practice and training to adjust t the wacom, just dont give up. You will have days where you think its useless but other days where you achieve something. The main things to learn are about opacity, blending, colour picking and brushes
Thank you for the video sinix. :) I'm curious, at this stage I've started drawing and I really want to strive to do concept art for a career. Problem is I don't know where to start. My perspective is all over the place, and I have no idea where to begin when it comes to drawing, whether that be with silhouettes or outlines. :( Do you have any recommendations of tutorials or anything? Please reply, and thank you for the video once again!
@MrSheepMoose Just to clarify. Are you asking about where to begin when it comes to improving at drawing in general? Or where to begin when trying to start a specific drawing?
@MrSheepMoose Well you could start searching for tutorials here on youtube, FZDSCHOOL has a lot of great videos and so does Sinix.
Best way to lear is by drawing, take a pen, some papers and just go out and draw stuff that you see. Real life stuff is usually better than photos. Only way to get good is by watching and doing.
You should join the Crimson Daggers and their livestreams :D

You should finish this painting and then start a series about comic drawing or something related to that.
Good that you're back, too.
