  • This game is just totally brilliant... this one and fusion were both brilliant

  • can I ask, how did you record on a GBA???

  • @Denzien2 Emulator :3

  • My favourite is Metroid Fusion. But zero mission is not so bad :)

  • @armeniandude1000 i'd say zero mission is better. The environments are more diverse and you can turn on and off whatever skills and beams you have plus hard mode. Fusion is excellent too and the atmosphere is a bit creepy.

  • @allooutrick

a bit? man fusion scared the shit out of me from times to times, remember SA-X?...

  • What would be awesome is if they made a Metroid rpg for all consoles

  • Man, this game was awesome. You could smell the atmosphere. Why the fuck did I sell it??

  • which is better fusion or zero mission

  • can you play this game on the nintendo ds?

  • @majors77

Pretty sure you can. It's a GBA game, so you can run those on the DS

  • @CeilingNinja Sweetness! Thanks for the good news!

  • This game is tied with Super Metroid for my favorite...if I do an LP after the one I'm doing right now (which regretfully isn't doing too well, but I only have 1 episode so far so who knows?) I'll either do this or SM sometime later. Great LP so far!

  • If this is a remake of super metdroid the object and background details are low

  • @Marialroblox:

Regular Metroid - the NES Metroid.

  • @Marialroblox lol it looks much better than the original metroid. dosent it? :D

  • @Marialroblox It's a remake of the first Metroid game for the NES, not Super Metroid for the SNES

  • Vaya manco jugando a esto...

  • @ldrasiel ¿Por qué es que todos ustedes los mexicanos nada puesto, pero los insultos?

  • I'm sorry i laughed when you died. xD

  • I personally enjoyed the chozo statues, but I understand why fans would dislike them. I believe that they may have been added to keep the game moving. This game is for the GBA after all, and people new to the metroid series would grow frustrated spending half their battery life trying to figure out which way to go.

Anyway, this game may not force you to wander around aimlessly, but the many secrets and shortcuts make up for this.

    That's my two cents.

  • i always get missles befor the long beam it makes killing that hopper alot easyer to kill

  • At 3:14-3:16 if you shoot the blocks above the door you can get to the next area

  • A protip: Don't jump in the lava, it's hot.

  • the L button on my ds doesnt work :(

  • @TheYautjahunter Haha neither does mine.

  • @HeavenFallStrife Let me guess, you have a Lite. :P

  • I love this game, I also like how in the Prime series the ending you got depended on your item percentage not how fast you finished the game. I've tried really hard to beat this game in under 3 hours but I just can't do it. I can in just over 3 but not under.

  • I remember the first time I played Zero and right when the tittle screen came on the music just took me back to 1985 when the first one came out.

  • dude. This game reminds me of a better version of metroid fusion...which I played before I played this one. On the other hand, metroid fusion is pretty fun. I will have to play through both again. I like your let's plays.

  • man this game is fun xD i wish they took the chozo statues out tho, i guess i dont like guides lol. and after looking thru the comments, i FINALLY found out why i couldnt get the wave beam in norfair in orig metroid.. cuz i got the ice beam. anyway.. thanks for doing this game as a lp =D

  • theres no tanks in this game?

  • lol i just love how this game throws you right into the action, with nothing but the game intro to tell you whats going on. simple, fast and easy (not that i dont like long intros either)

  • my favorite game ever!

  • I play through this game a hundred times a week, it's such a fun game!

  • i play through this game a million times a week beat that

  • oh wow this looks almost exactly like super metroid

even the map layout in the begining is a lot like super metroid

    awesome

  • Five major differences.

    1. Super Metroid is better

    2. Super Metroid is better

    3. Super Metroid is better

    4. Super Metroid is better

    5. Super Metroid is better

  • @Fitfatfoofite Hardly, Zero Mission may be alot shorter, but it's smoother, has better music and scenery... Don't tell me, you're one of those morons that believes that because a game is newer than a very good game, the new game will suck... You'd probably have said Zero Mission is better if you played it first, you fickle people, you!

  • @gnryeah I would disagree. It has NOTHING to do with the age of the game, but the content... SM is a much LARGER game, length is kind of subjective, because I can beat Super in like 40 minutes, maybe an hour and a half for 100%. The biggest issue with this game is that it guides you through by showing your objective, which makes it lose all sense of solitude and true exploration. Metroid should drop you in the game then leave you alone to figure it out, that is what made the first 3 great.

  • @213shadesofgrey I do like ZM a lot. It's my second favorite (first being SM.) The only reason I don't like ZM as much is exactly what you said. We should be lost, should explore, should have to find out things yourself, but it's impossible to avoid the Chozo statutes.

  • @CeilingNinja So true. I liked Zero Mission and Fusion quite a bit, and I would have been perfectly happy if it had given an option to use the hints or not, similar to how the Prime series gave you the option for help. I would have simply turned it off and all would be good. Ive been watching this LP for like 80 minutes now. Not bad at all!

  • @CeilingNinja actually, you don't need to hit the chozo statues through the game. I'm using a guide to get 100% (I've gotten 99% several times before) and I'm just skipping the statues, whether they guide you or not, just to save time. Unfortunately, if you're playing it for the first time, you're not going to NOT get every chozo.

  • @P0RtalMan

A lot of the statues block main areas of the game. It'd be more of a hassle to find a way around.

  • @CeilingNinja Too true, I played this game on EASY and I had a hard time with it.

  • Samus was actually born on planet K-2L, but was brought to Zebes by the Chozo after Ridley killed her parents.

  • I really want that game but I don't know where to find it. And the music of when you are on a Chozo Statue remembers me of the Chozo Temple from Prime 1.

  • no thex didn´t

and i didn´t heard of any plans about it :(

  • have they ported super uber metroid to gba yet???

  • I love this game, one of the only games that I still play. The Metroid franchise is genius. Thanks for posting!

  • It looks like samus has 2 different coloured eyes in the beggining, is this true?

  • Looks that way, but I think it's just glare on her visor. She's got blue eyes, and I don't think any heterochromia.

  • how do you play on hard?

  • Beat the game on Normal, I'm not sure if you need 100% or not, but I think you do.

  • beat easy and normal on same file then it will be unlocked on that file

  • No, Just beat normal.

  • @CeilingNinja No, just on medium, no need for 100% :)

  • Metroid music ROCKS!

  • @Scorpionsrock55 look up metal metroid or metroid metal, you should find a site with the metroid music from a lot of the games in metal rock and roll form, it's really cool.

  • Hmm I prefer Super Metroid...

  • I agree

  • @LordFeckington666 Yeah, but fusion is teh best. :D

  • @LordFeckington666 Doesn't everybody prefer super metroid? i like zero mission better.

  • this game is not so hard

    kinda easy

unless of course you use an emulator and a keyboard.

  • at 1:56 they are called Skree!

  • I like this better than the original Metroid actually. It really benefited from all the graphical and gameplay improvements.

  • I never really played a Metroid game... I just can't stick with them for some reason. Now I can at least watch it.

  • I can't believe I've never played through the original Metroid...I may have to pick up a copy of this and give it a shot. It also makes me want to actually finish Metroid Prime 2 and pick up 3 - thanks for spending my money, bro! :P

  • Mwahaha!

  • I think it's cool how every metroid game has a very similar first level when you first enter the first planet.

  • Well, this IS Metroid 1

  • Hm! This seems interesting. And immediate death in the first level! Joy!

  • Oh, I will die a LOT

  • Brilliant game! I'm surprised, but glad you picked this one (I'd actually been contemplating starting with Metroid Fusion for my first Let's Play, but I can't get sound to work on that (or on the other game I had in mind for an LP).

  • Finally we get to see what all the hype about this game is.

  • It's actually really well done. I was certainly impressed with it.

  • i figured it was good i just thought it was different then the others for some reason.

  • There are some new things added to it.

  • oh i see now... i always thought it was a remake of super metroid.

  • Nah, the first Metroid. That game was HARD. You actually had to choose between the Wave Beam (hit things below you) or the Ice Beam (kill Metroids)

  • thats why ill probably never play it

  • Yeah - Zero Mission is much less brutal.

  • ZOMGODXZZZZZZXZXZXZXZX

  • Glad you appreciate?
