@bikelet the cross section he is showing is actually the posterior left cerebrum, viewed from anterior to it. in other words: you're looking at the lower left quarter of his top view (drawing on the left) from the front
if it was the right cross section, the drawing would be a mirror image of the one he has on there. once you can visualize it it's a lot easier to follow

THANKS FOR THE VIDEO! however there's a small point there, they're precentral and post central gyri not precentral sulcus and postcentral sulcus.

a suggestion:
if you draw a 4-arrow diagram to show ant post medial lateral etc. it would be helpful for us to understand the orientation of your tutorials.
