Weird most people get their animals fixed if they don't want them to breed.

The woman who sold him to us called us a week later telling us that one of the puppies she sold to someone else died of parvo. She called everyone she sold the puppies to.

I am not a breeder, and I give my dogs shots myself, so what? The vet charges more than $100 a dog! If you buy them from the pet supply company, it's about $5.00 per dog. What a difference! I rescue dogs, I do bring them to the vet when necessary, but not for shots.

@quang405 Any veternary classes can assist you in doing this. It is something to learn and is not easy. I used to work for a Pet store growing up and learned this as I was going to be a Vet growing up.
I have to say the judge showed a serious case of idiocy here. Many people self vaccinate dogs as it can be much cheaper then taking them to a vet. And it can be vary important to have it clearly stated that someone is not a breeder as breeders are under diffrent rules then someone who just sells a dog. So it does change things. I can't stand when people try to pass rulings when they don't understand the whole of the problem.
@dementlegirl If the dog was vaccinated against Parvo it wouldn't have gotten Parvo. So Either, it did not get vaccinated and contracted it somewhere, or the puppy was incorrectly diagnosed with it. But I have worked in a vets office, I've had a dog with Parvo, I know the facts about Parvo. So the answer is really simple.

Remember that Parvo can be tracked into your home by your shoes. In some areas it's everywhere. The VXs have to stay cold at all times, the second it gets room temp it's useless!!
dementlegirl, I wasn't agreeing with what you did. Giving the puppies their VXs is not the smartest thing to do. You have to be 100% sure it went under the skin, not in the skin or the muscle. If they only had the puppy less than a week it probably got the parvo at you place.

yeah but then you have to be ready to accept the responsibility of doing it correctly especially if you are selling the puppies you are giving the shots too. the judge realizes she is an unprofessional, and should accept the fact she sold a fucked up dog to these people. no ones fault but the defendants here, judge made a good call

@xmasterfunk I did accept it. as stated in the show. The Puppies were not mine. The dogs were not mine. Legally because I sold the owners dogs.. I was targeted.

@quang405 Any veternary classes can assist you in doing this. It is something to learn and is not easy. I used to work for a Pet store growing up and learned this as I was going to be a Vet growing up.

I have to say the judge showed a serious case of idiocy here. Many people self vaccinate dogs as it can be much cheaper then taking them to a vet. And it can be vary important to have it clearly stated that someone is not a breeder as breeders are under diffrent rules then someone who just sells a dog. So it does change things. I can't stand when people try to pass rulings when they don't understand the whole of the problem.

@dementlegirl If the dog was vaccinated against Parvo it wouldn't have gotten Parvo. So Either, it did not get vaccinated and contracted it somewhere, or the puppy was incorrectly diagnosed with it. But I have worked in a vets office, I've had a dog with Parvo, I know the facts about Parvo. So the answer is really simple.

One of the dogs in this litter is now a show dog.. and another is actually a worker dog for a deaf lady. The dogs were amazing all of them. The only one who did not do well was theirs. They were both nice people.. just took their puppy to the wrong place..

Remember that Parvo can be tracked into your home by your shoes. In some areas it's everywhere. It takes up to 7 days to show symptoms, vomit, then diarrhea and the bloody diarrhea..remember it's no ones fault it just happens.Take the puppies to a vet to get their shots, it's the safest way. The VXs have to stay cold at all times, the second it gets room temp it's useless!!

dementlegirl, I wasn't agreeing with what you did. Giving the puppies their VXs is not the smartest thing to do. You have to be 100% sure it went under the skin, not in the skin or the muscle. If they only had the puppy less than a week it probably got the parvo at you place.

I am her (the defendant)... and I am telling you that the owners puppies that were still at his home ... did not have Parvo. He had 13 puppies and that puppy was the only one to contract this traggic disease... I won in the local courts and they asked to try this on TV.. It is a TV show remember?

daHILLBILLY the parvo vaccine is not 100% insurance, it helps protect but that doesn not mean a puppy is now safe from Parvo. I am a vet tech and see Parvo on a daily basis and have learned that not everything is guarenteed.

They never had a dog with them or in their car. Fact. The source of CPV infection is fecal waste from infected dogs. Another fact. The defendant however....has two dogs. It's easily transmitted via the hair or feet of infected dogs, and also by contaminated objects such as cages or shoes. Generally, it takes 7-10 days from the time of exposure for dogs and puppies to start showing symptoms and to test positive for parvo.
CLEARLY the dog contracted it contracted the disease BEFOREHAND.

Any irresponsible owner in your own words the judge here nailed the "breeder" issue very well" who sells me any dog that gets sick, where medical fact is that the dog could not have contracted the disease from my side when you look just at time, would not win in court with me - believe me. All you need is to present all the known facts, no judge can refute them, regardles of which pups did not get it - that is not what is at trial here - the pup who got it, however, is. DO YOU HEAR ME?
